It pains me to give Seche Vite a mediocre review since it's so highly celebrated by beauty bloggers and Total Beauty reviewers. While I love how quickly Seche Vite dries and sets my manicure, adds shine, and smooths brush strokes and other imperfections in the polish, it fails to protect my manicure. Mixed feelings....
This product does deliver what it promises- lightning fast drying time. It dries completely in less than 5 minutes. It's a thin consistency, so you have to get used to applying it. Some other reviewers mentioned that it smells horrible, but I didn't think it smelled worse than any other nail polish on the market. My beef with this product is how quickly it peeled off my nails, almost in little sheets. It did not chip, but boy did they peel. But that's typical of most quick dry top coats...you sacrifice drying time with durability. The longer drying top coats are generally stronger and tougher, so it's a trade off. Love Love LOVE!
I can't believe I went so long without trying out this top coat. I am a nail polish addict. I love to do my own at home manicures and I try to make time to do one at least once a week. After watching a Youtube manicure tutorial I decided to purchase this product. I bought this at Sally's for $7 bucks but the best part is they were having a buy one get one free so I got two! This top coat is the fastest drying top coat I have ever tried. I no longer have to worry about smudging my nails because it sets after 5 minutes. You do have to put it on immediately after polishing your last coat because if you let it dry a little I noticed that it will shrink the nail polish. I wish it helped a little more with chipping but I will overlook that because of the awesome drying time. I love the shine this top coat gives. After painting my nail a bright red from L'Oreal ( I think its called "Caught Red-Handed) I put this on top and everyone kept asking where I got my manicure. They couldn't believe I got the look from home. It almost makes your nails look wet from the shine it gives off. Just a small warning: this top coat has a very very strong smell. I make sure to put it on quickly close the bottle and leave the room. I know that it has bad chemicals and I probably would not use it if I were pregnant but in the meantime I will continue to buy this product. Dries so fast!
This top coat is amazing because it seriously dries in just a couple minutes. And once it's dry, it hardens the nail up so there's no smudging. I only have 2 complaints: the smell (it's like that glue that comes with model airplane kits--ick!!), and it isn't the best at keeping my manicure chip free. Very Nice...BUT

I'll never use anything else!
I'm a huge polish whore, and have been searching for the perfect top coat for a long time now. My prayers were answered when I found this polish. Not only does it dry SUPER fast (I tend to put many layers of polish on and it dries them all in around 5 minutes. This is compared to a few hours with normal clear nail polish) and it keeps all the colors super bright and pretty! It also keeps my nails from chipping for a long time. I actually start getting bored of the color or design before it starts getting gross and chipping off! It might be a little expensive, but it's definitely worth it and I refuse to buy anything else. Nothing else compares at all to the quality of this stuff. It's a must have for all polish lovers! Perfect!
Seche Vite is now the only top coat I use. I won a bottle in a giveaway from Of Life and Lacquer and I have been hooked ever since! First, it is cheap! I see it for usually around $5 a bottle and that is great value! You only need a thin coat so you don’t go through it very fast! Plus, if it saves you 4 days on a mani, then you have already spent your money well! When it says Dry Fast, it sure means it. This top coat dries unbelievably fast. You can even put it over nail polish that is still tacky and in a minute of less both will be completely dry and you will no longer be able to smudge it! Another great thing is that it doesn’t smear nail polish. Unless your color is still crazy wet, this top coat will not drag it around. Best for a time crunch
I paint my nails a different color every day (I know that's terrible for your nails) and I like that this topcoat dries all of the layers of nail polish within a couple of minutes. You just paint your nails like you normally would and while they're still gummy you can paint this on and you're set. So much hype but disappointed
I bought this after reading several great reviews. I've practiced using all the tips on application. However it simply didn't dry very fast or very well. Gorgeous shine yes. But after 45 minutes as my top coat, three nails with fresh polish rolled after I folded a blanket. And the polish rolled over half down each nails all down to the base coat. I've found Sally Hanson Fast dry n red bottle works way better for drying protection faster.
