      Eeh, Ok

I tried the sensitive skin version of these pads and they did nothing to help my break outs which aren't horrible to begin with. I used the entire jar to be sure that I gave the pads time to work on my skin too. My nose flaked a bit and they smell gross so I will not repurchasing. May 7, 2008, 7:11 am

      At the Time of Use

I've found much better since, but when I was using these, I couldn't ask for more. They were soothing to my skin, quick and easy to use, smelt GOOD, and didn't irritate my skin at all. It didn't make my acne disappear in record time or anything, but I think it did help new break outs from appearing at least a little. I also... used a spot treatment over it though. I would say they are worth a try, they are definitely on the cheaper side and come with almost a month's worth if you use them twice a day. I would say they are good for those that may have just developed some acne and are having trouble falling into a routine. November 14, 2009, 8:21 pm

      defenitly not amazing.

Strizex would help get the remainder of my foundation off that my makeup remover didn't get, but it didn't help my breakouts. I liked the thought it this product, but overall it just sucked. It made my face feel tingly and every once in awhile, it would irritate my skin. I don't remember how much I bought this for, but I th...ink I got it in a drugstore. Anyways, I wouldn't waste your money on this product. September 6, 2009, 12:17 pm

My mom bought this for me as a teen. It only helped with the oil control. It did absolutley nothing to control blemishes or heal them. August 30, 2009, 3:52 pm

I have the maximum strength. It doesn't have alcohol but I don't see a difference at all. I'm not really sure if they are getting the extra dirt. August 29, 2009, 1:38 pm

These pads don't do anything except dry out my skin. They also have a very bad smell. Don't buy these, buy a cleanser and spot treatment instead. August 31, 2008, 2:52 pm

    • Manufacturer's Product Description

    • Stridex Alcohol-Free Pads are non-drying and gentler on the skin than ordinary alcohol-based formulas, enabling more frequent irritation-free use. That's important, because consistent daily use of acne-fighting medication is the key to effective acne control and prevention. Stridex offers the only medicated pads that are alcohol free. Competitive brands still contain alcohol at levels ranging from 34 percent to as high as 55 percent of the formulas. Stridex pads are also specially textured, to provide gentle cleansing and a better feel. Stridex Alcohol-Free Pads remove dirt, unclog pores and dissolve oil to clear up and help prevent pimples. Each pad contains the proven acne medication, salicylic acid. Stridex Alcohol-Free Pads are available in three unique formulas: Maximum Strength, Sensitive Skin and Essential Care.
    • Directions

    • Cleanse skin thoroughly before applying medication. Use the pad to wipe the entire affected area. Repeat with a clean pad as necessary to remove remaining traces of dirt. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two to three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. Do not leave pad on skin for an extended period of time.
    • Ingredients

    • Sensitive Skin:Salicylic acid 0.5% Aloe barbadensis gel, ammonium lauryl sulfate, ammonium xylenesulfonate, citric acid, DMDM hydantoin, fragrance, menthol, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, purified water, simethicone, sodium borate, tetrasodium EDTA, witch hazel extract.
