Burberry Classic Reviews

A favorite for years.
I love this scent so much. It's feminine and elegant, but the sandalwood keeps it from being too sweet. I love how long the heart notes last, and the bottle stays true to the scent to the last drop. I have worn it since college and have gotten lots of compliments. It was a wonderful find. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

True classic
This perfume is a little powdery, a little woody and a little musky scent with hints of light sweet vanilla. Yes, different scents are blended together, but the combination is clean and warm. I bought my first bottle about 12 years ago as I collect perfume bottles. But their scent is very timeless. The name says it all, definitely classic. It can be wear any season or occasion. I also think that this perfume is suitable for any age because it does not smell like an old intensive floral perfume or a extremely sweet and artificial fragrance. I don't get bored with the scent of this fragrance. I tried two more Burberry perfumes, I do like more distinguishable bottle of Burberry Brit, but always come back to this one for its scent. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 12 people said helpful

Burberry's Best
Of all the Burberry fragrances, this is the best. It's not one of the modern "insecticide" types. It's soft and alluring. — 4 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 5 people said helpful

this is perfect
I bought this when I got my first job and I'm still totally in love with it. It's professional enough to wear to work and it definitely creates a style with my wardrobe. I love this and will continue purchasing it in the future. — 10 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Pleasant and Spicy Like A Day in the Fall
This fragrance is one I enjoy wearing for days in the fall. The spiciness reminds me of crisp leaves on an autumn day with a hint of warmth to it. It isn't overwhelming or heavy. You don't have to apply much to get a nice scent that lasts most of the day. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

Great
I have worn this for so long it's ridiculous. Started in my very early 20s and now I'm in my late thir--never mind. I've gone through dozens and dozens of bottles and each time I empty one I think, "I really have to try something else; variety is the spice of life." And I go out and buy something new, traitor that I am. And I wear it for three days and then pooh. It's not the same. And no one stops and demands to know what I'm wearing. And my mom says I don't smell like myself. Not to mention I tend to be allergic-y to many fragrances; either I get horrid red splotches or develop a whopper of a headache. Burberry London (or Classic or whatever they're calling it again) has never broken me out. Only made me and whatever I happen to be wearing smell like delicious wrapped in yummy. So back to the classic I run. Ergo, this is less of a review and more of love letter. The base, top notes and all that jazz have been covered by reviewers more eloquent than I. All I know is that this is my signature scent and that if you are a female, try it. Certainly it won't smell as perfect on everyone as it does on others, but Burberry is always worth a try. The Sandlewood, the Jasmine, the musk, the Vanilla. Oh heaven! How is it so woodsy and sweet at the same time? Dunno. But Amazon's price is really great and even if you can find it cheaper, I'm not about to turn my credit card over to some fly by night place and wait for shipping from some far flung place. (Most discount perfumeries have that less than reputable feel.) Some say it's not long lasting but it lingers nicely on me. And when I open the door of my closet, Burberry wafts out in the most delicate but insistent way. Once you're converted, don't even bother, like I foolishly do, to try and court another. Just dance with the one that brung ya. BTW, there have been rumors of Burberry London's demise for years. And I fall for it every time and succumb to the deepest panic. All I know is they still currently make it, and I have seen no proof otherwise. I hope some fancy schmany exec in charge of fragrance over at Burberry will look at all these 5 star reviews, (as in my mind he/she regularly searches Amazon for tube stocks or knitting needles) and is reminded again that the love shown here is just a teeny fraction of the international cult following this scent has. They must never stop making it. Buying one extra bottle is never bad idea because "discontinued" is a four letter word to any fan of Burberry. Too much of a good thing, and this rarely applies to perfume, IS a good thing in the case of Burberry London. Now I'm off the stare at the bottle (it's never changed in all these years) and sashay in the general direction of anyone's nose that's around. — 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

just b-ea-uuu-tiful!
Is exactly as described on the bottle- a Classic! It is sweet and woodsy but not in an over-powering way, and it has real staying power! Also, is the kind of perfume all ages of women can wear- its one of my mum's favourite and she passed her love of it on to me! LOVE it! — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Best of Burberry
Forget all the brand's other supposedly edgy fragrances--this is the only Burberry you'll ever need. Warm, fruity--almost peach or apricot--notes blend with a more sophisticated oriental base. Luscious, soft and melt-worthy. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 5 people said helpful
