Its Good but pricey
Alterna 10 is a really good product but if you want the same results try Redkens Real Control Masque it is more reasonable and I honestly cannot say there is much differece. Tamed My Hard To Please Hair
As a hair product junkie with an unruly mane (thick, coarse, color-treated, slightly wavy), I've tried too many products to count in the attempt to attain that silky, commercial-worthy look and I'm usually disappointed. This hair masque is definitely an exception to the rule. I wouldn't call it a holy grail but it definitely adds softness to my hair without weighing it down. Though because my hair is so thick and coarse I do wonder if it would be too heavy for thinner hair texture. The consistency reminds me of marshmallow creme minus the stickiness and it spreads evenly on the hair. I've used it a few times, leaving it in both 5 & 10 minutes and can attest that the longer you leave it in, the better the results. My only complaint is the packaging. Priced at $55, Alterna Ten Hair Masque is infused with ten exotic ingredients from around the globe, including African Cacao Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Caviar Age-Control Complexâ„¢, Photozyme Complexâ„¢ with Color Holdâ„¢, White Truffle Oil, Champagne Grape Seed Oil, Bulgarian Evening Primrose, Arabian Frankincense, Moroccan Quillaia Bark and Arnica Flower. It promises to repair and renew all hair types and transform it from ordinary to extraordinary. The first thing that I noticed is the strong yet absolutely divine smell. The texture is very thick and creamy, which makes the product super easy to apply without dripping everywhere. Most importantly, it delivers what it promised! My hair feels instantly smoother, shinier and I can finally run a comb through it without getting stuck (my hairdresser is going to be *so* pleased!) Plus it never weighs your hair down or leaves a greasy look like some hair masks do. My only rant is the heft price tag, which sadly for my wallet, is worth every single penny.
