  Gentle on fine, color-treated fussy strands!

  I purchased a travel pack of this shampoo and coordinated conditioner recently for a beach vacation. My hair is quite "fussy" - easy to be too heavy or not conditioning enough. The Alterna Caviar Shampoo felt delicious as I worked it in and rinsed, and came away easy to style and smelling fresh! Especially good fo...r limp, color-treated longer hair. May 23, 2008, 12:46 pm

  Great quality and results

  Its embarassing to admit, but I got a free sample of this product and I loved how it made my hair feel soft, silky, and smooth...but I did not purchase it because of the expensive price. But if you have the money, then this product is a must try. May 30, 2008, 11:15 am

  The texture is thick and gel-like, which is a plus to me as most sulphate free shampoos are very runny and hard to dose, but as this is somewhat thicker, which makes it easy to use the right amount, and you really only need one tiny amount, because it spreads easily and lathers well. The sea scent is more subtle than the co...nditioner’s scent. It leaves my hair amazingly soft, hydrated and shiny! I thought it might be somewhat stripping as a rich lather usually isn’t a good sign, but this has never dried out my hair one single bit. The price is a huge downfall though. July 13, 2009, 2:14 pm

  terribly overpriced

  Lovely packaging, I wanted to love this but for my natural curly, thirsty hair, this product seemed to have next to no moisturizing properties whatsoever. Like they were curiously absent. Like someone looked away & forgot to add a crucial ingredient during the manufacturing process. I got a sample of this as a bonus fro...m a major online beauty retailer- it seemed terrific, so I gulped at the price, took a deep breath & reordered- I was very disappointed with the expensive full-size repurchase. As well, the bottle is nice to look at, but topples over in the shower constantly. Just didn't work for me. April 28, 2009, 5:36 am

  For a moisture shampoo it sure dries out my hair...

  I tried this shampoo for about a week, as my hair was in dire need of moisture. Not only did this shampoo not provide my hair with the moisture it needed, but it seemed to drastically dry my hair even more! Post-shower combing was near impossible after using this shampoo and I would not suggest it to anyone who seriously ne...eds a moisturizing shampoo. August 8, 2008, 1:10 pm

  Gives me bad itchy scalp and dandruff

  I love how this shampoo makes my hair look and feel, but my scalp suffers every time I use it, I have tried to just lather the ends and not the scalp but then I still have semi oily roots. July 6, 2008, 11:54 am
