Benefit You Rebel Lite

Finally Benefit launched a lighter shade of this tinted moisturizer with SPF (the original is best for medium skin tones), which adjusts to most fair skin tones. The hydrating formula makes a great base under mineral makeup (if you're after more coverage), doesn't settle into fine lines and leaves skin dewy, not greasy like Laura Mercier can on combo skin. Coverage is too sheer to mask blemishes and dark circles, so use concealer. I wore this alone and people commented on how great my skin looked without makeup -- fooled them!

    I love this!

May 5, 2008, 9:07 am I have tried a ton of Tinted Moisturizers...and I think I love this one the most. I have fairly dry skin, so this really is moisturizing...but its not greasy! It sinks right it and evens out my skin perfectly. If you're used to wearing a lot of foundation to "cover" your skin, you won't like this... but if you want something light, "you but better"...then give this a try. It has a yellow tone to it, but it is great because my skin tends to be on the pinkish (irritated) side anyhow. I use a dab of my eucerin redness relief moisturizer (with the green tint) and then apply this over top. Its also buildable...you can apply some, wait a bit May 5, 2008, 9:07 am

March 22, 2008, 2:40 pm I was so glad when I found that You Rebel Lite had come out as I had previously bought the Original You Rebel and found it way too dark for my fair skin and so was dissapointed. This is very good for a tinted moisturiser and feels like it will last a long time. Also it is a nice consistency and is moisturising and not too heavy at the same time. If you have blemishes you need a good concealer with this as it won't cover them up completely, although to be fair to benefit, it is a tinted moisturiser not Foundation. My only gripe is that its very expensive. March 22, 2008, 2:40 pm

    best tinted moisturizer

Benefits is one of my favorite brands. Everything they make is great. I love the tinted moisturizer because I can still add my mineral make-up over it and it doesn't over power my standard foundation. I reccommend this brand to everyone! May 29, 2008, 9:56 am

    Yuck

This left my skin looking greasy within an hour (my skin is not very oily). It's surprisingly dark for a "light" shade, it looked very orange (especially as it got greasier). I would not use this or recommend it (in either shade). April 22, 2008, 7:56 am

    Interesting.

I doubted that this product would match my skin tone, but it does! It's also intensely moisturizing, I was amazed by how soft my skin was at the end of the day. January 14, 2008, 8:02 am

    Very sheer

    by beautyguru247 (161 reviews)
This is just to enhance your skin, but if you have breakouts or any dark pigments from scars, you need a concealer, which is too much time and effort for me. I found the moisturizer part to be lack luster which is typical, but for the money, I would like more moisture. August 3, 2008, 10:31 pm

You Rebel Lite, you made me love Benefit again!

They've always been too dark for my very fair skin. I don't want a foundation line when I wear full foundation, so why would I want one with a tinted moisturizer? I'd discovered Stila tinted moisturizers and liked what I saw, but really had a hard time paying that amount of money for so little product. Lo and behold, I saw that Benefit had come out with a lighter shade of You Rebel. That is really a boatload of product for a similar price to the Stila stuff. First of all, I don't like facial moisturizers or makeup to smell TOO much like sunblock. It's a smell I love for body products, I just can't stand having it so close to my face. You Rebel Lite fits the bill for me there. The color is so sheer, it really just takes the red out of my cheeks - exactly what I want. It doesn't sweat into my eyes - another plus. For me, as far as tinted moisturizers go, this is a very good product as well as a very good deal. July 26, 2008, 1:23 pm

    Great for fair skin

    by JaclynKayS (11 reviews)
I have fair skin and loved the idea of you rebel but the original shade was too dark no matter how many times the girls at the counter told me it worked for every skin tone. The lite version is perfect. Lightweight, some coverage, effective SPF = exactly what I want in a tinted moisturizer. July 7, 2008, 6:47 pm
