La Mer The Lip Balm

This subtly mint-flavored, colorless balm is possibly the most addictive you'll ever try. Infused with the nutrient-rich Miracle Broth that made La Mer famous, this comforting sealant helps protect your lips and keep them super soft. The formula also includes an antifreeze protein found in the Arctic to ensure your lips feel their best even in extreme weather conditions. Classic balms like Chapstick and Blistex simply pale in comparison -- not surprising since they cost about 15 times less.

      Love it!!

      by Stefoosh (11 reviews)
I received this lip balm as a gift and it works fantastic. I have yet to use another lip balm so effective. It's slightly minty, not greasy and leaves your lips looking younger and smooth. I put it on before any lipstick or lip gloss and it has made a huge difference. Love it. May 7, 2008, 2:41 pm

It will probably last you a year and you'll love it. May 1, 2008, 6:27 am

      La Spare (Me)

I agree with "who are they kidding"--I always lusted after La Mer as the ultimate in unattainably expensive skincare. I bought the lip balm, thinking I could use it as a barometer to see if the Miracle Broth lived up to the hype. I mean, the lip balm is o-kay, but not 45 bucks o-kay! I am a lip-product junkie, ... I am a lip-product junkie, and I was not thrilled with this product at all. I'll stick to Smith's Rosebud and get my Miracle Broth when I order steamers in the Hamptons. August 28, 2008, 6:03 pm

      Great for Dry Lips!

      by Janice25 (55 reviews)
This is the best poduct I've ever tried for dry, chapped lips (think winter in the northern states). Mine is always in my make up bag. December 9, 2007, 8:53 am

      • Thinner than any other area of the face, the lips are virtually defenseless against subtle changes in wind, temperature, dryness, even diet - requiring special attention. The lip balm infuses a potent concentration of the original miracle broth with marine extracts, botanicals and vitamins to regenerate the delicate lip skin.   This luxurious emulsion works on contact to soften roughness, relieve dryness and flaking and help heal seriously dry lips. A patented lip lipid Complex is the first line of defense. It delivers moisture, strengthening the lips' minimal moisture barrier and helping to prevent further damage. An essential protein found in the arctic helps insulate vulnerable lip skin from extreme conditions of heat and cold. Mint comforts the lips and enhances the balm with a cool, refreshing flavor. Like Crème de la Mer, the results are immediate – lips look and feel smoother, softer, plumper – yet long lasting.
