La Mer The Lip Balm
Guest's Rating & Review
This subtly mint-flavored, colorless balm is possibly the most addictive you'll ever try. Infused with the nutrient-rich Miracle Broth that made La Mer famous, this comforting sealant helps protect your lips and keep them super soft. The formula also includes an antifreeze protein found in the Arctic to ensure your lips feel their best even in extreme weather conditions. Classic balms like Chapstick and Blistex simply pale in comparison -- not surprising since they cost about 15 times less.

Great stuff!
It's excellent and minty but not too strong. It helps when I put it on my lips overnight. It's too pricey though. — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Miracle Broth, Miracle results.
As I am writing this review, the current price of the lip balm is $50, which is a $5 increase. I did a little researched and discovered that there is more than meets the eye. The lip balm contains La Mer's "Miracle Broth" which contains sea kelp fermented by a process called "sonochemistry". This process is powered by sound waves which alter chemical reactions of the broth while fermenting. The kelp itself is harvested off of Vancouver Island (Canada) twice annually, and fermented for months. One would say that this product is unsanitary because of being contained in a pot. No matter, since the "Miracle Broth" which is the main staple in this product, has anti-bacterial properties from the kelp. Another ingredient found in the "Miracle Broth" is lime tea extract, which is lime marinated in 100-proof vodka. The rind itself has a lot of powerful antioxidants. But enough science for now. The proper way to apply is to dip your finger into the product (don't swirl), and place a small amount on your finger, and rub it together between two of your fingertips. The heat from your fingertips activates the broth, and will turn the product from white to clear when fully activated. Gently dab the product onto your lip area, do not smear. & volia. This product has a very light vanilla + mint scent to it and will not taste awful if it comes in contact with your saliva. Some also say that it has a hint of chocolate scent as well. Try the "Miracle Broth" for yourself. I have used this product for over a year thus far and it has worked for me. — 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful
