This modern compact will be with me if I'm ever stranded on an island. It's expensive, but it feels like silk and stays on almost all day. Prepare to experiment with more than 45 unique, highly pigmented combinations before buying. Matte neutrals make reliable, crease-resistant base colors while iridescents and bolds can be worn sheer or dramatically layered. A plastic sheet protects the mirror inside from mess (but for speed demons, that doesn't last long).

I personally think that the NARS single eyeshadows are generally better quality than the duos. I have Cordura, which is a warm brown shade and an espresso shade. Both have fine glitter in them. The shades are nice, but a little bit chalkier than most of the singles that I own.The packaging looks cool, but I hate how grubby they get. I have a few of these duos. They are so rich and pigmented and they brush on like a dream. The shimmer in a lot of them are gorgeous and there's no fallout like I've encountered in the past with other eyeshadow glitter. The matte black in the Pandora duo is one of the truest matte blacks I've ever used. The color matches are unique and sometimes strange but they work! Pigment is rich so use a very light hand when applying and work up to the shade desired. Duos nice sized but a tad costly.
