And You Call This a Stain, Laura?
I purchased this in "Mocha" because the majority of products from this line have out-exceeded my expectations. Not so with Laura Mercier's "Lip Stain." It wasn't really a stain at all--just a hint of color. And the formula was drying to my lips. The company says that the "satin, balmy finish leaves the look of effortless polish and understated sophistication." "UNDERSTATED" is the operative word here: Understated color, understated moisture. And a total waste of $20.00! — 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Has good and bad points
This lip stain has its good and bad. Laura Mercier has good products as a whole so I was expecting more from this product. For one, it's application can be messy unless you use a lip brush. Not everyone wants to tote a lip brush along with them. It is also a rather dry texture, drier than other stains out there. The stain also made my lips feel dry like I needed a balm on top of this. The color was nice but didn't wear or fade evenly. It did do better when mixed with a balm. The result was a nice, sheer color wash on my lips. Maybe future reformulations, if any, can be made to be less drying. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Just a gloss in a pot, nothing more. No stain. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful
