March 11, 2008, 5:45 pm I had to start coloring my own hair for awhile because I am saving money to go back to school. I wanted a product that wasn't so harsh on my hair. I'v seen numerous commercials on TV starring Sarah Jessica Parker. I think she is an excellent spokesperson for this product. I trusted her because I love her clothing line which is very affordable & quality products. I get more compliments on my haircolor since I've been using Garnier. I also recommend Garnier in the green box for gray hair. It give excellent coverage because I am over 50% gray on the top of my head. Thanks, Garnier for making such a great product. Also the product smell isn't strong at all. March 11, 2008, 5:45 pm

The Best Brown in a Box

I have had my hair colored at a salon and while my beautician was away on vacation, I needed something close to my current hair color. The results were just like salon quality. My scalp did not burn, it didn't give me unnecessary highlights. The brown was perfect. I especially loved the cafe con leche color. My natural hair color is black and certain colors require me to go to the salon, but this provided my roots with the right color blend needed and gave me the same color all around. And this is made for people with naturally dark hair and works great as well. November 13, 2007, 7:45 am

    Does the Job... All Right

May 16, 2008, 4:56 am I actually used this hair dye recently and I chose the wrong color for me as I didn't feel like reddish dyes suit me but the nature it left my hair in left it parched. After blow drying my hair like I usually do, I noticed my ends more wispier than usual and with a dime size amount of serum, it was back to appearing healthy again. What I disliked about it was that it left my hair damaged more than the other brands or types of hair dyes I've used. This even damaged my hair more than Revlon's budget hair dye Color Silk. I actually like Color Silk. For about seven dollars, I could find better hair dyes out there that deliver a better health outcome for my hair and color that shines. I felt this color dulled quite easily and with just a few shampoos, it's pretty much stripped of its own color halfway. The next time I'm in the dye section, I'll leave it up to another brand to satisfy my need for ravishing color. For details about the texture, it's about similar to a lotion but not quite as thick as a cream and one box can usually cover about shoulder length's hair. I've found myself needing two boxes since my hair at the time of posting here is about just a couple of inches above my waist at the longest layers in the back. The scent still smells like regular hair dye although there are claims of formulation with a scent, it didn't do much to ease breathing just as any hair dye would. The conditioner is in a packet which I disliked because I often don't use all the conditioner and perhaps this was intended for just one use but most conditioners I've found in boxes have been in multiple use tubes and I can get about two to three conditionings from it and also be able to seal it back up. For those of you who are choosy about gloves, the latex gloves in the dye box are sturdy and it helps not to have your hands dyed or exposed to any chemicals. Some dyes do just come with plastic, cellophane like gloves and those I find are uncomfortable and not formfitting to use. Anyone allergic to latex may want to skip using the gloves or purchase their own gloves or even skip this box of dye all together since the quality isn't at the best level there should be offered for hair dye. A competitive similar hair dye on the market is definitely outperforming this right now which is at almost the exact same price. May 16, 2008, 4:56 am

April 19, 2008, 10:38 am I have been dying my hair for 10( ) Years now and it is sufficiently FRIED. Nonetheless, I was in need of root touch up for the recent blonde ambition I have been honing in on. After reading so many great reviews I decided to try the White Chocolate color (Let it be said that about 8 years ago I tried Gariner Nutrisse hair color and was very disappointed- this purchase was a real leap of faith for me). My hair feels amazingly soft, the color turned out better than I could have ever hoped. I did NOT like that the dye was so soupy- I had a hard time not making a mess, and I did not like the strong eye-burning smell while applying it. That being said- I will gladly put the $100 dollars in my pocket each month and do my own hair color using this product from now on. April 19, 2008, 10:38 am

    Best of the Store Haircolors

    by suezm1 (3 reviews)
I've used a lot of haircoloring products and this one is the best of the lot. I like the lack of ammonia so you're not overcome by the fumes when you are doing your hair. The color comes out nice and seems to last. If you can't get to or afford a hairstylist, try this product to hold you over and keep you looking good. February 7, 2008, 7:31 pm

    Definitely my fav!

    by lovetamale (5 reviews)
This is the best-smelling, easiest-to-apply, least-fading hair color I have ever used. I have been a redhead (from my natural dark brown and gray) for 11 years now, and this color fades less than when I have professionally colored my hair. I would recommend it to anyone! Vibrant and Shiny!

    by Toulina (21 reviews)
I colored my hair burgundy. The color was amazingly vibrant and shiny and didn't have that just dyed smell. I would recommend using a shampoo and conditioner to maintain red shades and protect from fading in order to prolong the life of your color. March 20, 2008, 11:27 am

    Salon results

    by Sabina (3 reviews)
I treat myself once a year to haircoloring by my stylist but about every 4 weeks I use Garnier Nutrisse at home. My hair looks just as good at a fraction of the price! The color is natural looking, my hair looks and feels so healthy and shiny, and my curls are gorgeous! February 11, 2008, 7:11 am

That one is as good as Nutrisse. I would say the same complements about Garnier Nutrisse. December 11, 2007, 3:54 pm

    Only one I'll use

    by Tinkerbell1980 (3 reviews)
I have tried many different hair dyes. Some only last a week, some too much of a chemical smells that lingers for weeks, others burnt my scalp. Nutrisse has an awesome, non-chemical smell, the color lasts over a month, and has never made my scalp timgle. Whenever someone asks me what dye I recommend, I always say Nutrisse!!
