    Best Color Ever

My husband has been my colorist ever since I started using Garnier Nutrisse. It may seem strange to some that my husband the heavy equipment operator is the best hair colorist that I have ever had. Actually, the only one I have ever had as I have only had my hair colored 2 times at a salon. We cannot afford it, and as long as it looks this good we do not have to.

    Shiny!

I have used Garnier Nutrisse for years, every 6 weeks like clockwork. I absolutely love it! I'm getting quite a bit of gray right up top, and it covers it beautifully! It leaves my hair shiny and nourished. Even my hairdresser compliments my color... impressive.

When the color creme is not defective

I have used this color for several years and I absolutely LOVE it and receive many compliments on it. However, THREE times out of the last five times I have attempted to color my hair, upon opening the color creme tube I found it was the color of BLUE CHEESE. Grey-blue streaks in the white creme. I called the Customer Service line and was mailed coupons THE FIRST TIME. The next time I was treated ...read morelike a total scammer and ignored. As much as I like this color I don't care for Garnier. Garnier obviously don't care about me.

    Used to tone down highlights

I found out that medium brown means dark brown/black in the hair dye world, and ended up with black hair. I went to my salon and asked to have it lightened. Their only option was to heavily highlight (bleach) my hair and return visits to eventually strip my entire head! I ended up with black/white hair. It looked like those witch wigs for Halloween. I later discovered Color Oops and after 2 t...read morereatments had taken off the black myself! I'd progressed to Med. coppery brown with white highlights and felt I need to tone them down. Since the highlights were seriously damaged and I had used Color Oops I had to pick a hair color that was semi-permanent, a golden or natural tone so my highlights would not turn green, and 2 shades lighter than the color I wanted to be. When hair is porous it will GRAB color, so make sure if it's fried get 2 shades lighter. I chose Garnier Herbashine in Med. Natural Blonde. I admit I was scared. I was taking a risk with this hair color considering I have natural medium brown hair and these white highlights, yet it turned out FANTASTIC! I have no roots! I can't believe how this color turned out. My highlights turned the exact color shown on the box and the rest of my hair turned to a nice brown that was the same color from root to tip. I am unsure how this happened. My highlights were left in better condition and when I was rinsing this product out my hair did not feel like a wad of cotton like it did before the application. LOVE IT! This product will allow me to grow out my highlights without it being noticeable. I've had tons of compliments already. I'm sure considering what it looked like prior anything is an improvement. I've only had this color on for 3 days so I am unsure if it will last 28 shampoos. Regardless, I will continue using it till my highlights grow off and will re-dye if it doesn't stay the full 28 days. My advice: 1. Buy one to two shades lighter than what the box shows. (especially if you are wanting to only cover grays) 2. I think this color runs somewhat dark. If you hair is healthy this might not be the case. 3. This color does not lighten, you may need a permanent to achieve that.

Best Hairdye I have ever used!

I Love this hairdye, the formula is thick, creamy and doesn't drip. It is also it's inexpensive ($8 at walmart). I love how it makes my hair feel so soft and the color has lasted me 6 weeks, this never happens with another brand I have used. I used the medium ash brown and it turned out a shiny, chocolate brown. Also my hair does feel alot stronger after use.

Light Ash Brown turned my dark brown hair red!!

I was trying to achieve a natural looking brown without a lot of red tones, and thought the Mochachinno would be a good choice. Surprise, I'm now a strawberry blondish-brown. Not happy at all!! And the dye mixture itself was very runny. Sorry to say, I am an unhappy customer :-(

    Negative Reaction

I have light brown/dirty blonde hair naturally, and twice I used the cheap Revlon hair dye (golden blonde) - 4 dollars was a great deal for the results. The latest hair color I purchased was Garnier Nutrisse's Honey Golden Blonde #93. I put it on my very short hair and about 3-5 minutes into the application I felt a burning sensation, so I washed off the dye immediately. Stressed out by the exper...read moreience, feeling somewhat light headed, I went online and found a few cases who had severe reactions (to the brown dye mostly), but also I discovered a scientific, credible article that talked about self tests that each hair dye package suggests. It turns out that the self test might be quite misleading and will not necessarily display true results. People will often get a negative result to an allergy, but that does not guarantee that the hair dye will not cause an allergic reaction while doing your hair. One woman was taken to a hospital due to burns on her face, neck, and sculp that appeared hours after the application... My guess is the reaction to the dye might have had something to do with ammonia. Nutrisse is not an ammonia free product, whereas Revlon does not contain ammonia. So based on these facts, I would personally recommend the least harsh dye. Ammonia is a no go! In fact perhaps going to Whole Foods and searching for some relatively more natural products would be best. I don't feel as confident to return to chemical colorants after this...

    okay

So today I bought some hair dye because I wanted a change from my mousey, dark blonde hair. i found the #93 Honey Butter hair dye and loved it. Went home, application was pretty easy (though the smell was quite strong and disgusting) but as soon as I dryed my hair, I was disapointed. Yeah, my hair was a little lighter but nothing even close to the outcome garunteed. Wonderful product

This hair color is the best I have tried, and I have literally tried ALL of them. It was the closest match to the "shown box color" that I have gotten in ANY shelf color. I am 35, so I have been coloring my hair for 16 years now, both professionally and at home, and this stuff made my hair feel amazing afterward and is SO TRUE TO COLOR. True Red = Truly Fabulous

I was a little leery of the color, but I wanted red . . . This is a terrific red. It is more subtle indoors and vibrant outside. I was extremely impressed with the shine -- I have naturally curly hair, which tends to be course and matte, but this color made my hair shine like crazy!
