Awful.
UPDATE: I must be allergic to this - the skin around my hairline has broke out in an awful rash. I dyed my hair again using this product (it was the only semi available) and now fully regret it. My hair is dry and flat and my skin and scalp are flaky and itchy. I won't be using this EVER again. As for my first review: my usually shiny black hair was left flat, dull and dry-looking. The black shade looks very fake and obvious. I wasn't happy the first time around and I wish I'd had another option the second time around. good color and coverage

amonia-free and simple
After using this I will probably take a long hiatus from salon color which can become costly. This is so much easier and cheaper. Plus I feel like I am doing something healthy for my hair, it actually doesn't feel to bad. Can't believe it's semi-perm!
I couldn’t believe that this gave coverage on my greys, at all! I went in to this saying, “No way. This is not possible. I’m going to have to break out permanent color tomorrow.†Not so! I haven’t even reached the best part yet– it only took 10 minutes. I applied this on slightly damp hair at my roots for 5 minutes, worked it through the rest of my hair for 5 minutes, and rinsed it out. That’s it. I applied the Color Treat conditioning treatment that was provided, rinsed it out, and wah-lah. Perfecto. It covered my greys! My hair is shinier than when I began, it doesn’t feel dry at all, and it was a perfect color match. BEWARE! Causes hair to fall out!
I decided to give this a try because it said "Natural" and has no ammonia so I thought it would be better for my scalp than other hair color. When I went to rinse it out, my hair came out in clumps in the shower! I was so scared I was gonna be bald, but thank goodness it stopped the next day. Natural instincts 28B
I have always appreciated my hair an recently..omg I have found some gray....eek. Well There is nothing I haven't .done to my hair and it bounces right back. I wanted a semi permanent to cover the gray strands around my face. I had used other semi -perm dyes, my hair was again virgin. I got a shade darker than my hair 28B. It made my hair color a litter richer darker except for the gray? I followed the directions to the letter and am so disappointed. I bought 3 boxes because of the good ratings. Works, but doesn't last
I bought the Natural Instincts Vibrant in 6 Light Brown to cover my grey hair and keep my natural color. It did cover my grey and my hair looked great. lasts for 28 shampoos?
I've used this product for years and have always been very happy with rhe results. Being a temp color made it less harmful to my hair. About 6 months ago I decided to let my hair go back to my natural color. I'm still waiting. Seems as if the temp color isn't so temporary. Now I have about 5" of roots showing. It hasn't been as smooth of a transition as I thought it would be and I'm going through a process I shouldn't have to go through. My first chemical hair dye!
I absolutely love Clairol Natural Instincts, and it's the first chemical dye I've ever used. I've used a powder dye before, in a dark brown shade. The Natural Instincts shade I recently used is Egyptian Plum #32. I love the multitonal results, and I adore the Color Treat conditioner.
