CoverGirl CG Smoothers Pressed Powder Reviews

Pressed Powder
Sort of awful. Has a strange, medicinal smell to it, and the powder just sort of sits on top of the skin-- no matter what shade you buy, it doesn't blend well or look natural on the skin. I found that the formula had too much talc and irritated my skin. Did not like. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Classic
This is a good old standby. Easy to blend and pretty long lasting. I like it in the translucent version. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Tried & True
This was one of my first make up products. It was given to me by my cousin who always liked to give me a make over whenever we would hang out. Since then I have tried powders from lots of different companies like Benefit, Urban Decay, Sephora, E.L.F, Stila, and Smashbox. And I have to say CoverGirl is one of the best! I always come back to this perfect little blue compact in the end. It is so affordable and never makes me look cakey. It is great for when I do not have lots of blemishes. It covers up all discoloration and makes my skin look perfected. — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Skip it
I really did not like this powder. No matter what shade I would get, it never blends well and looks really chalky on me. It also has this weird, icky smell to it that probably make me not want to repurchase this even if it did have fabulous coverage. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Polarizing....
This little powder has a lot going for it but at times it can be its own worst enemy. The powder gives lovely sheer coverage and it won't dry your skin out but some may find the fragrance frankly unpleasant. It's also a perfect translucent powder that whisks away redness without washing you out but when in the compact the powder looks dull and lifeless. There's a lot to love here (especially the price) but buyer beware...it ain't perfect. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Buy over dept. store brands!
It is as effective as it is affordable. Like the other great CG powders, it isnt cakey, and blends well. A great natural color and doesnt irritate skin. Its lightness is what I adore most as it doesnt cover up but rather minimizes imperfections so you have a natural look — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

love it!
I have very dry skin and every foundation I get has to be geared for dry skin. I thought I'd try the cg pressed powder for dry skin too (smoothers). I love this stuff! Wished I'd found this before I got the 'clean' pressed powder. I love that too, but this is for dry skin, so I'd rather use this! This stuff is fantastic. I wished it had that same scent as the 'clean' line does. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Finally found 'the one'!
I love this powder. It is very silky and blends amazingly well. A little goes a long way, but at the same time, you can build your coverage quite a bit and still get a very natural look. Plus, it is very affordable. Love it! It is by far one of the best powders I've ever tried. — 2 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful
