Moisturizing and Dewy
I love this foundation, especially for the fall/winter months. The consistency is wonderful and it applies more smoothly than any other foundation I've tried. A little goes a long way, so one pump covers my entire face easily. The packaging on this is chic and functional. The pump gives great control so you only dispense exactly what you need. This provides light to medium coverage and imparts a dewy finish. The formula is so moisturizing so it is perfect when my skin is dry. Other foundations can flake or accentuate dry patches, but this doesn't at all. This foundation won't last forever on your skin, but applying a primer will help extend its wear. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin (the aqua version is probably more suitable) but for combination/dry and dry skinned gals, this is a total winner. — 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Perfect for dry skin. No flaking.
After years of tortured searching for a foundation that wouldn't flake off my very dry face, including all of the MAC products, I gave up on foundation for years. My 30s were makeup-less. Turning 40, I realized my makeup optional days were numbered and returned to the hunt. Everything still flakes. Except Chanel Vitalumiere. Moisturizing, non-flaking, can't feel it, perfect blending. The coverage is good too. I barely need any concealer. My only issue was that it might melt in the summer, but then Chanel released Vitalumiere Aqua. Perfect! — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 10 of 12 people said helpful

WORST FOUNDATION EVER!
This is genuinely one of the worst foundations I have ever used. It has so little coverage, the foundation just sits on top of your skin, making your face look and feel wet, and if you touch your face at all, it comes right off. I have to re-apply every two hours, and I feel like I am wearing make-up, something that I haven't experienced since the cheap stuff I used to wear when I was 16! It is very expensive, particularly given how often it needs to be reapplied, and it hides nothing; all my blemishes, pigmentation, etc., are still totally visible, but I have the added bonus of looking sweaty, all day long. Do not buy this product, unless you have perfect skin, money to burn, and like the wet look. — 10 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 3 people said helpful

Great!!!
I LOVE this foundation. The coverage is light to medium. The perfect combo for me is ask for a free sample of Mat Lumiere at the time of purchase of my Vitalumiere. I apply Mat Lumiere in the spots I need to cover my redness( cheeks only). After I apply the vitalumiere and I glow :) I get sooooo many compliments. Women over 30 should try this. The Mat Lumiere is too heavy alone and the finish is not as nice. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Overpriced piece of *@#$. Paraben causes cancer and lowers your ability of having children. I cannot believe Chanel is using this nasty chemical...I was expecting to get a better product for that much money. I am using a powder from Whole Foods now and it is ten times better than Chanel plus it is 20 dollars cheaper. Cover FX from Sephora is wonderful, too. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 6 people said helpful

Vitalumiere is wonderful for natural coverage
Chanel's Vitalumiere foundation is a wonderful choice if you are looking for a fairly sheer, natural-looking foundation with a hint of dewiness. The formula itself is very thin, which sometimes makes blending tricky, but with a good foundation brush it's a fantastic, very wearable foundation. It doesn't have a strong fragrance to it and it doesn't oxidize on my skin. Although it has a dewy finish, it can be topped with loose powder for a more matte effect, and the powder helps it last longer. I have had issues with the foundation not lasting throughout an entire day. It seems that sometimes it seems to sink into the skin a little too much, and by the end of the day there's little to nothing left of it. If you need moderate to heavy coverage, this is NOT the foundation for you. It may also not be the best for oilier skin types, as it feels very moisturizing and does give the dewy look, but if you have drier skin and like lightweight, natural coverage, this is definitely a good choice. I keep Vitalumiere in my rotation for those "good skin" days when I don't need the mask effect, or for days when my skin feels a bit drier than usual. Especially for winter, it's a great choice! — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Good
Gives A Nice Dewy Finish, Last A Few Hours. I Do Have To Re-Apply But It Doesn't Clog My Pores. The Only Downer About This Is The Price. It Was About 50 Bucks For A Bottle Of This! Yikes! — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

better have good skin to use it.
This is really made for those of us with dry skin. I Love it because it goes on like the feel of a moisturizer...but you do have to have pretty good looking skin in order to use it. If you have many scars or hyperpigmentation I would suggest the Pro Lumiere it's got more coverage. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
