I've been using it for almost one month and I haven't really seen any difference. My pores look the same, redness in some parts of my face are still there, dark spots have not faded, still breaking out.. but my face feels hydrated and I love the way my makeup goes on. Even after applying other lotions over it I can still feel the softness when I put on my makeup... it's so smooth. I also like the light citrus scent to it. January 2, 2008, 6:58 pm

I love this product! My 40 something face has NEVER looked better! I suffer from adult acne combination skin and fine lines. This product has cleared my acne, refined my pores, and neutralized my combination skin, namely the oily parts. I can not live without this product. I got a sample about 6 months ago, loved it, but then the price put me off. So, I searched for substitute product, my face suffered ! Acne returned oily parts went into over drive and the dry patches started to flake, so I got another sample and VIOLA within a week or week and a half, my pretty skin returned, now I will not try anything else but this product. This is BY FAR the best skin product out there. I have large pores and combination skin, I am 31 yrs. old and have never had perfect smooth flawless skin, I always have occasional breakouts, large pores, uneven skin color, etc, etc. A few years ago I tried a sample of this on one side of my face (through a magazine insert) and I was so impressed with how my skin felt that I went out and bought a bottle. Within 2 weeks my skin was flawless, I used it every morning & every evening before bed. At first it just made my skin feel very soft and smooth but after 2 weeks my pores were nearly invisible, I was not getting any occasional breakouts that I have ALWAYS gotten (especially around that time of the month) and it was just a MIRACLE. The 1 oz. bottle lasted me about a month so I bought another one when my bottle got low. I continued using it for several months and had beautiful skin, until I just couldn't afford to pay $50 per month anymore for a bottle. So basically, the ONLY DOWNFALL IS that once you stop using it, your skin will go back to how it was before within a few days. So, in recent years I have only bought one or two bottles a year and then I can have great skin for a month or so but once I run out, my skin is back to the same problems. I only wish I could afford to buy it EVERY MONTHlike I used to because it is DEFINITELY WORTH IT. I have tried all the products similar to this from items you can buy at places like CVS for about $7-$20 to items at Sephora and Macy's for up to $150 and this is by far THE BEST. I definitely recommend if you can afford it, so I will give it 10 stars because it is the only product that does what it says (and it actually keeps you from breaking out, which is not one of its claims, but it really keeps your skin clear as well)-you must use it ritually though to get results & keep those good results, and it smells kind of nice too, I should deduct a star for the fact that it is SO EXPENSIVE, but considering that it is a MIRACLE IN A BOTTLE, then I guess thats the price we have to pay. A good thing to ask for on your Christmas list. Also, it comes in a larger bottle that you actually save money if you buy the larger size but I always just bought the one ounce size. I also want to add ONE CAUTION-I always bought my Idealist from Macy's and always had fantastic results. Then once I bought it from a Marketplace seller on Amazon and it was a few dollars less than I usually pay. Anyway, it came to me in a box from China so I was suspicious immediately but I used it anyway and it did not work-it had the same smell and feel but after a few weeks use and no visible results, I complained to the seller and told them I thought it may be counterfeit and something was obviously wrong with the formula, luckily they gave me a full refund, but just BUYER BEWARE, only buy this from a trusted reputable store because if you buy anywhere else, who knows, they may be filling up the bottle with a cheap imitation version, but someone like me knew that it was not right since I had used it for years and this was the only time I did not see results, so if you buy it from somewhere and don't see results, GET A REFUND and go buy from a department store where you can be rest assure dthe product is ORIGINAL. WOW! A product that actually does what it says! Estee Lauder products have definitely come through for my hormonal skin problems. Not only have the online advisers at esteelauder.com helped me tremendously, but their products are amazing! I love this product. It is one I could not live without. Before I started using this product, I had breakouts in my lower cheek area and my skin looked dull. I tried everything with no luck. But this products, gently exfoliates my skin throughout the day keeping it smooth, clear, and healthy looking. I have to say, the texture is silky, and a lot like a makeup primer. I don't even need to use a makeup primer because this product is so versatile. Love, Love, Love Idealist, skin Refinsher, if you are scared to try it, go for it! I love this stuff. I got a sample of it months ago in the mail. Now I am hooked. After using it for 2 weeks I had people asking me how do I look younger every day. It really does reduce pores and also clears up blotchy skin. I haven't had any acne in months and my face is so soft. I highly recommend this product to everyone. I can't give this a perfect 10 because it is so, so, so expensive. But it absolutly, instantly, amazingly works. Put it on and your skin feels beautifully smooth. Your pores disappear. Over time your skin will look very clear and radiant. It's not a product I can personally afford to use everyday. But if money were no object, I'd bathe in it. It's that good. This stuff makes your skin feel amazingly soft. I use it as a primer and my makeup goes on smooth, and stays on all day. However, if I use my fingers to apply foundation or concealer, I notice this peels off a bit when rubbed. I have large pores and redness and I don't notice the "immediate" difference in either after I apply. I don't use this product every day because its so expensive, so I don't know how it would impact my skin if I used it regularly. I think its pretty much the same as the original Idealist, which is also really great. I don't if I would say its a Miracle In A Bottle, but its an excellent product if you can afford it. The minute I applied this product, my skin transformed from flawed to flawless! It feels like velvet and my pores immediately shrank to normal size. It makes me feel luxurious and beautiful and what a great primer for my moisturizer. Estee Lauder of course! If you want flawless skin, this is the stuff for you. And it's worth every penny!
