Though geared toward teens, Sugar Tropic Tan isn't as adolescent as it looks. Sans brush and inconveniently large (almost compact disc-sized), the mirrored compact may not seem worth $25 at first. But one application lasts all day and one purchase, all year. Available only in Sunkissed Bronze, the buildable, pressed powder highlights with a super-fine shimmer and can "tan" lighter skin up to two shades without looking too orange. Color is richer than that of Physicians Formula, but it's no substitute for self tanner on body. (Tip: Avoid patchiness with one of these.)

      TROPICAL TAN IN A COMPACT?????

      THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL SUNLESS TANNERS AVAILABLE. I WAS LEAD TO THIS PRODUCT BY AN ASSOCIATTE, ASSURING ME THAT WITH A BUKU BRUSH I COULD APPLY AN ALL OVER EVEN TAN. WELL, FIRST THIS IS ONE SHADE ONLY. TOO DARK FOR FAIR SKINNED LADIES LIKE MYSELF. IT HAS SHIMMER TO IT, WHICH ADDS TO THE UNREALISTIC LOO...       this bronzer is great! one sweep over your face results in instant beach glow, minus the sun and the beach. it looks pretty natural if you are careful applying, but you can easily over do it (so if you're into that kind of thing- jersey girls- this is for you).       This bronzer gives a subtle, healthy glow to your skin. It has a matte finish, but it doesn't have that "muddy" effect that so many bronzers have. It looks like you have a hint of natural color. November 28, 2007, 3:01 pm

      The BEST I have tried, even better than Nars Laguna Bronzer!! A little expensive, yes, but it is worth the money. I have recently hit the pan on this product and am looking forward to repurchasing this! Why it is so special? I love the packaging, the texture, and the COLOR. Not orange at all. It is perfect.       I love the color it gives. Not orangey or too shiny like so many out there. I found it goes on better w/ a large puff, though. It's easier to buff it out. May 20, 2008, 7:38 pm
