Definitely my pick!
I've used this and the non-waterproof edition, and they thicken my lashes and keep them soft too! There is a minimal amount of flaking (less than most of the other mascaras I've tried from cheap to expensive), lashes stay natural looking - not overdone, and comes off easily with a bit of cold cream.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Waterproof Mascara Works
I recently purchased this waterproof mascara and have been very happy with the results. I have tried many drug store brands with many 'waterproof' mascaras smudging under my lower lash line after a few hours of applying. The smudging would stay on my skin better than the mascara stayed on my lashes! I Like the Way I Look
I have used several different brands of mascara which claims to make your lashes long and thick, but I can truly say this one works, I love it. I had bought some false lashes before I tried this mascara and I haven't had to use the lashes since I have been using this mascara. When it's time to remove it, I just use good old fashion petroleum jelly and it comes off. My Fave!
I have tried many mascaras, both high end and drugstore, and I always go back to this one. I love how it plumps, lengthens and defines my lashes without clumps or smudges. The brush makes this easly to apply with only a couple coats. This is simply a great mascara!
I've never seen the big fuss about it, but I really like it now. It's a refreshing change from all the liquid-y and silicone-laden formulae that glut the market nowadays (though if you like that, there's a Full Definition Voluminous that you may prefer). The intensity is easy to control, from subtle definition (2 coats) to va-va-voom (lots o' coats). Love it!

Perfect for athletes, cry babies and glamour gals
I've been using the Voluminous line for over 15 years now, with consistently good results – I just buy whichever formula is on sale. If you use a heavy under eye moisturizer, cry easily (I do!), or want to wear your mascara to the beach, swimming, or playing sports, try the waterproof version. The competitors either left my lashes looking spindly; or, worse, flaked off and irritated my eyes. The thick Voluminous brush reaches in to coat even my shortest, finest lashes, defining and extending them to their richest and fullest – without clumping, flaking, or looking fake. I routinely get compliments on my lashes – people think its me, not the mascara. (I even gave my sister-in-law Voluminous for her wedding day – trust me, I LIKE her!) Go two coats for a super dramatic look, but 98% of the time one coat is plenty. The waterproof formula can be a pain to take off (I find that soap and water doesn't do the trick, I have to use a lot of eye makeup remover). On the other hand it really lasts and doesn't flake. Watch out if you add a second coat, it can get a little thick. A side note, I recently switched ALL of my makeup to Bare Escentuals – with only two exceptions. I'll never stray again...
I have been using this product for more than 15 years! Every time I decide to try something new it turns out to be money wasted. Loreal Voluminous cannot be beat. I thought this would be a good mascara because my friend uses it and it looks great on her but when I got it and used it. Best to keep my curl
I don't know what it is about the waterproof formula vs the regular one, but something in this keeps my eyelashes (normally stick straight) curled. Every single other mascara I try, uncurls my lashes after they've been curled with a curler. Not this one!
