Completely Different From the Originall

The L'Oreal Waterproof Voluminous Mascara is nowhere near as good as the original. I couldn't get this to layer on evenly but the worst part is you cannot get this off! You will go through tons of eye makeup remover and still not get it all. Not for me! — 2 months, 1 week ago

This mascara gives subtle volume but building it up can cause a problem. One thing I truly hate about mascaras is any stiffness and this did just that, stiffen after it ma dried. It may be waterproof but I didn't enjoy how tough it was to remove this even with soap and water or makeup cleansing solutions which actually leading to flaking. Clumps? Yes, I did experience some while trying to dramatize my lashes but I love how boldly black the formula goes on and does look "wet" all day. — 3 years, 11 months ago

Not as great as I expected

I bought this instead of my usual Full & Soft because I'd read great things about it. Unfortuneately, I'm not that impressed. I wish the bristles on the brush were longer, to better comb through my eyelashes. The part of the tube that cleans the brush when you pull it out should be smaller, too, because I found myself needing to wipe the excess off on a kleenex (I hate doing that because it makes me feel like I'm throwing away half the mascara that I paid for). The formula itself is good: Long-lasting, not at all flaky. It's not bad at all - just not that great overall. — 3 years, 1 month ago

Not what I expected..

I used to only use the original formula (now I'm sticking to waterproof mascaras because they don't smudge), so when I tried this I thought I would love it. The brush is the same so it's amazing, and really helps to build the lashes up with mascara so they look full and thick. The downside: washing it off. I've never used another waterproof mascara that was harder to take off. Even after going thru 2 cotton balls per eye (and good remover), I still end up with raccoon eyes because I just can't get all the product off! That's the only reason I won't repurchase. — 1 year, 7 months ago

i've been reading a lot about voluminous mascara and finally bought some to try against my MANY-years waterproof favorite, lash-out. i put one on each eye and evaluated at the end of the day. voluminous was nice... but nothing beats lash-out. — 1 week, 5 days ago

not what I expected

This may be waterproof, but it is not end-of-the-day proof, or rub-the-eye proof. By the end of the day, I had smudges under my eyes as if I had been crying. Not for people who have busy days or live in humid areas. — 2 weeks, 3 days ago

I love this mascara!

I've tried a lot of other mascaras and I keep going back to this one! It keeps my curl well, I have straight, thin, blonde lashes and this makes a world of difference! It is a bit hard to take off but I just use oil to get it off in the shower, I use coconut oil, olive oil will work, baby oil would work too I'm sure. — 3 weeks, 6 days ago

MY HG MASCARA

I've tried all sorts of mascaras in every formulation and brand imaginable (volumizing, lengthening, curling, Dior, Tarte, Covergirl, Rimmel, Maybelline) and this is definitely my holy grail mascara!!! This stuff is so fantastic. It really is waterproof, doesn't budge or flake off ever, like covergirl and maybelline both did to me, even their waterproof versions. It doesn't feel heavy to me, and it gives my great volume and definition, even length, which it doesn't advertise! My eyelashes look much longer and nicer with this stuff. And it doesn't clump if you're careful. Just don't reapply after the mascara has already dried, and use an eyelash comb if necessary. Another tip: when you first take the wand out of the tube, wipe it two or three times on the rim of the tube to get rid of any clumps on the brush, that way they don't end up on your lashes. Thanks, L'Oreal, you've found a customer for life, don't ever change the formula! — 2 months, 2 weeks ago
