I bought mine from my hair stylist and this is the ONLY brand that the salon uses. I've had mine for years. It takes about 1 minute to heat up and it gets hot without burning my hair. Since I have naturally curly hair, I do use some type of straightening product first, Alterna Hemp Straightening Balm works best on my hair and I've tried lots of them. Excellent iron
This iron is excellent. It takes 1 minute to heat up. I put the Phytodefrisant and Farouk biosilk on my hair while it's wet. When my hair is dry, I run it through with the chi iron. It only takes me 3 minutes to straighten my hair. I have thick, wavy Asian hair. This iron has been amazing.
