Does the job!
I have hair that is very thick and almost down to my bottom. After spending lots of money on all those other 'straighteners' I am so glad to have found this. Although more expensive, it's worth it to find a product that truly does what you want it to. Perfect for Thick Hair!

3 Year Love Affair!
My mother gave me the Chi as a Christmas present three years ago, and I thought she was nuts to buy yet another flat iron for my poofy hair (and an expensive one at that!) She practically had to bribe me to try it out, but I was instantly impressed by how well it worked. My hair is very long and VERY THICK, meaning it takes forever to use any styling tool and the style rarely holds longer than ...read more15 minutes. The Chi (the bigger model) whips through my hair and in one stroke the strands are automatically straight (but not fried). And the style HOLDS! I wash my hair every other day (since its such a hassle) and I only rarely need a touch up on the straight style since it holds day after day. WONDERFUL product! I dont know what the review by the stylist on here said about it "burning out". I've had my same iron for three years and its still going strong. The ONLY flat iron I'll ever use!
I have pretty unruly hair. It's curly and thick and frizzy. I've been straightening it for years because it looks soooo much better straight. However, until I discovered the Chi, it used to take me an hour to an hour and a half to get my hair straight, and it would only last until I went outside into the Florida humidity! Now it only takes me 15 to 20 minutes to get my hair lookin' good, and it la...read morests until I wash my hair again!! Over It!
I am a hair stylist, and I am way over the chi. It isn't as good of an iron as it was back in the day before it was so mass produced. Great Straightening Iron
Chi makes great products and this iron is no exception. I have very thick, wavy hair and this iron makes straightening effortless. It glides through my hair so smoothly and leaves my hair very straight and shiny. It heats up quickly and you can adjust the heat with the dial on the side.
