Clean & Clear Essentials Deep Cleaning Astringent Reviews

No Good
This astringent is nothing but a bunch of useless chemicals. It didn't have an astringent effect on my skin at all, even though my complexion is not very oily. All my skin felt was sticky, like I had been sweating a lot. I don't think this is worth the money at all, as it is fairly expensive for a drug store brand. It did nothing for the clarity or health of my skin, and I do not recommend this. — 1 month, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Drying
This left me with dry, flaky skin. I have combination skin and it was over-drying, even on my t-zone. — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

ok
Alright this ROCKS as an astringent, it really works wonders on my skin (and also if you've been cursed with cold sores like I have it works for that too even though I'm sure that's not it's true purpose). The only problem is that it REALLY burns your eyes! Be careful and I would suggest closing your eyes before using it. — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

AWESOME!
this toner is amazing! it tingles but its not painful! it lifts dirt so well, you can see it on the cotton ball. i used it on acne and it cleared up many of my pimples over night. i saw this at big lots and i couldnt find it at cvs so i think its discontinued. this was a great toner and i would buy again. it was only $3! — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 7 people said helpful

Clean Skin
This astigent works really well at cleaning out your pores and preventing breakouts. The smell is light and it stings a little on your skin, but the ingredients are great at fighting breakouts. I use this a lot, and it is good on my skin to help keep it clean. — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

well
at first i really liked this, it helped alot with my random but unusual cysts. then a million tiny red bumps would gather around my nose and chin. even under my eyes because of all the alcohol! — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 4 people said helpful

gentle but effective
The regular toner irritated my face, but this is much better. It's refreshing and gets rid of oil and residues. — 4 years, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

not for even somewhat-sensitive skin
This is best for those with moderate-to-severe acne or those with very oily skin. It was too strong for my occasional acne. This felt like it was killing the skin on my face. — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

Warning - VERY Drying!
The alcohol content is pretty high in this toner, so it'll dry the life out of your skin! I used to use this LIBERALLY as a teenager on my formerly oily skin (I obviously didn't know any better, since drying out your skin only makes it produce more oil faster!!!!). It works fast to get rid of pimples and sops up oil temporarily, but the long term pay-off is flaky, dry and tight skin. No adult should be using this! And I'd be hesitant to recommend this to teenagers too. Clean & Clear has a version for sensitive skin with less alcohol, so that may be a better alternative. The smell is a little weird too, slightly medicinal. May be an issue for daytime use. — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful
