Editor's Rating & Review
"Soft shimmer" is accurate, but color doesn't "surge." Clinique's Colour Surge Eye Shadow goes on smoothly, feels weightless and has a shimmer factor just one step above matte -- no glitter or high sparkle. The light colors of the 22 shades are somewhat muted, so it's best worn as a base shadow or alone for a subtle finish. There was no creasing at all -- a rarity for my oily lids -- and the color only slightly faded by day's end. Overall, it's a keeper.

Pastel colorsFor bold and vivid color I use MAC's shadow, but for shimmer and pastel color, I use Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow. The color selection is somewhat limited, but I have several. Two of them are favorite. One is beige color, and the other one is white (for ice queen look in winter). Both are not too chalky or obvious, but definitely noticeable. The powder is soft and light, but it does not leave a powdery trace like some cheap eye shadow does. I also own Super Shimmer, but I don't feel any big difference, except the color selections. BTW, I miss Clinique's old silvery slide case, but this newer package comes with a mirror. — 3 years, 5 months agoluckybetty | 895 reviews
Great Eye ColorI really love this eye shadow because it comes in over 20 colors and goes on soft and smooth. It is easy to spread and apply, but doesn't smudge or feel heavy. The color gives a great effect to the eyes and has a little shimmer. — 3 years, 5 months agoStef42678 | 483 reviews
