The thick rounded middle section of this pinecone-shaped brush coats larger lashes while shorter spikes at both ends effectively hit the eye's outer baby lashes. The light formula defines each lash, but it takes at least three coats to show a bit of lengthening -- and then you can expect some clumping. Wear is good -- there is little running and no flaking. However, we recommend MAC Zoom Lash instead -- this sister product better provides definition, good volume and length with a single coat.

    It's not what I've heard..

    I thought it was the best out there .. and seriously I've had better ones bought from Maybeliine and CoverGirl. Not spending my money on something that will flake for this cost! Aside to this, I hate the brush. April 30, 2009, 10:35 pm

    Best Mascara

    I loved this mascara. It didn't flake or anyting. It didn't bother my contact lenses. I love it. I have used it for 3 years and will never use anything else April 17, 2009, 11:22 am

    Not what it used to be...

    If I could turn back the hands of time and have MAC go back to their original formula then we'd all be happy. I used MAC Pro Lash many years ago and thought it was THE best on the cosmetic market. I tried them all - Chanel, Estee Lauder, YSL etc... They couldn't measure up to the combination of thick AND long lashes. I was ...spoiled. People thought I wore false eyelashes. Then it happened, MAC changed their formula and their mascara hasn't been the same. Still to this day, I'm still looking for my perfect mascara. April 8, 2009, 6:46 am

    The Good & Bad

    I like the way this mascara goes on my lashes. I like the smoothness and the clump-free application. However, it does begin to flake after a few hours and if you sweat, you can bet this mascara will wind up under your eyes. Overall, there are better products out there. August 29, 2008, 12:46 pm

    Think it would stay on better in the Winter Time

    MAC Pro LongLash Mascara gives good lenght and coverage. The brush isn't remarkable, but is easy to use with minimal clumping--haven't found a mascara that doesn't clump yet. I would say it's as good as Lancome Defenicils (I know, bite my tongue) except I didn't get the waterproof and I have a little racoon eye going on ab...out half way thru the day. I have always used the waterproof in Lancome and don't have that problem with it. Maybe the waterproof version of Pro Long would be better, but overall it's a pretty good buy.     Ugh...

    I love MAC almost without fail, but I could not stand this product. Half way through the day it started flaking, and this was with a brand new, non-dried out tube. I'm going back to Cover Girl Lash Exact: half the price, none of the flakes. June 10, 2008, 10:49 am

    TERRIBLE

    This product made my lashes look like straight arrows... It took away the curl, it added no volume and it smeared like crazy! November 30, 2007, 7:21 am
