Ole Henriksen Walnut Complexion Scrub Reviews

Use Carefully for AWEmazing Skin!
Exfoliation of the skin is critical. Many men age more attractively than women simply because they exfoliate daily--with a razor blade as they shave! It is critical to remove the upper, dead layers of skin cells. It deep-cleans and can dislodge blackheads and whiteheads without damaging tender skin. Serums and creams you apply are able to penetrate more deeply and thoroughly. Furthermore, circulation is improved and your complexion is left looking and feeling smoother, finer, cleaner. I have one huge problem with Ole Henriksen's "Walnut Complexion Scrub." The smell is so luscious, so enticing, so amazing that I am tempted to eat it (I think I'm kidding here--not quite sure). Seriously, the scent is a mix of citrus with a nutty undertone, but it is so gentle and scrumptious that it is definitely one of the scrub's benefits. The scrub is to be used no more than twice weekly. Take care here; this is not the best choice for sensitive skins. The pulverized walnut shells may have rough edges which can create minute tears in your complexion, resulting in irritation and additional places for bacteria to hibernate and cause problems. Even if your skin is resilient, use with caution. Only a very small amount is necessary for extraordinary results. Work this very gently into cleansed skin for one to two minutes and enjoy the slight foaming action it produces. Be certain to rinse very thoroughly. Avoid the eye area when exfoliating with any product (always keep in mind that tissue around the eye is as fragile as crepe paper and can appear as wrinkly as it if not treated carefully). When you have rinsed and patted your face dry, you will note a velvet-like feel which is beyond description. Rough patches are dissipated. Skin even appears brighter, and pores seem to disappear (pores? what pores?). This is another one of the extraordinary products in Ole Henriksen's skin care line. Try them all--I have used more skin care items than I can count, but these are certainly among the finest available! — 3 weeks, 3 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Beware
You only need a little bit of this to use to scrub your face. A very little goes a long way but it still feels quite intense, so I would probably suggest something else for delicate skin. The scent is quite pleasant--it's like a nutty citrus scent but it's very light. If you use it in the shower, make sure to rinse out your tub in the end or else you'll have little balls all over the bottom of your tub! It does make your skin feel soft and you will glow after using this. My only complaint--the scrub's particles may be a little too large for some. Similarly to the St. Ives Apricot scrub which many people love, they do not realize that the seeds are too large and can cause micro-tears in your skin which can make flake-prone skin worse. I normally use a micro-exfoliant which never made my skin flakey, but I opted to try this scrub because the particles were a little bigger. However, after a few times of using this, within days I noticed new patches of flakey skin on my cheeks and nose. I normally do not have problems with dry skin and I didn't have problems with my old exfoliation regimen. Therefore, I believe that what MAY have given me this problem of new-found flakey skin was the walnut scrub (I do not rule out the possibility of other environmental factors). I went back to my old regimen and I haven't had a problem since. I'm not speaking against this walnut scrub or the St. Ives Apricot scrub--but only because it does not work for ME. There are many people who use either scrub for a while and have not had any problems. It may be likely that my skin might be a little more delicate than the skin belonging to avid fans of this scrub or St. Ives. It simply does not work for me. Unless you are an avid Ole fan, the price often scares people away as well. If you do like this product, you may notice many similarities with the St. Ives apricot scrub, but for a muchhhh lower price. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

I love the results
This leaves your face clean and brighter. The walnut particles will be somewhat abrasive for the sensitive skinned. I initially saw the jar and thought it was a small amount, but a little goes a long way. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Best scrub I've tried
I went through alot of drugstore brands and was not impressed. So I caved in and spent a few more dollars on this. My skin is very oily and blochy and this gets it more evened out than I've ever seen. My husband started using it too although he says it smells like orange tire cleaner I like the smell. — 5 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

excellent scrub
you have to rub gently if you're sensitive, i am not so i had no issues. It works really well & kept in the shower makes a good morning face wash/exfoliator. I like that it foams a little & it makes my skin super-smooth. The only drawback is that the scent can be a bit overpowering. — 5 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful
