Jonathan Product Dirt Texturizing Paste
Editor's Rating & Review
The outrageous claims of this product (ability to repair and strengthen hair) are misleading. Isn't this supposed to be a defining paste? While the stuff is water-based with a buttery consistency, it's extremely tricky to use. Heavy application results in the "haven't washed my hair for a week" look. Nice almond scent but the paste fades within a few hours, leaving hair limp. Alterna Hemp Styling Mud is a much better option for long-lasting style.

Not the greatest for my hair type
I bought this to try to add some piecey texture to my long, fine, layered hair. It was really thick, which made it tough to apply, even though I was only applying it to the ends of my hair. The directions said to liquify it in your hands, but that didn't work very well. The effect was ok, but I was hoping for a more dramatic result. On the plus side, it smells really great. I got the impression that it would work better for someone with shorter hair and a choppy style. Next time I'll try the Silky Dirt instead. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I will definitely buy this product.
I really like this! I have VERY fine hair and lots of it. I wear my hair very short and I like the edgy look I get with a wax or paste. Most I have tried, leave my hair feeling sticky and dirty. This product is light and it only takes a bit to hold my hair in the style I want. A spritz of spray and I am ready to go. I can reshape my style with my hands throughout the day and it doesn't go flat as it does with other products of this type. It feels smooth and silky. — 4 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

dirt
i didn't see any real instructions and didn't understand what to do to get it to liquify.....after reading another review i see that they took a pea sized piece out....all i did was rub my hands over it. i'll try it again because the way i tried it, it did nothing for me. i kept reading to put on ends only and now i feel better as i can give it a better chance and see if i have better luck — 7 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
