Jonathan Product Dirt Texturizing Paste Reviews

Not the greatest for my hair type
Jessica8 (223 reviews)I bought this to try to add some piecey texture to my long, fine, layered hair. It was really thick, which made it tough to apply, even though I was only applying it to the ends of my hair. The directions said to liquify it in your hands, but that didn't work very well. The effect was ok, but I was hoping for a more dramatic result. On the plus side, it smells really great. I got the impression that it would work better for someone with shorter hair and a choppy style. Next time I'll try the Silky Dirt instead. — 3 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

LOVE it!!
kathib (11 reviews)Been using this product for about two years & there is nothing like it.....just take a pea sized bit onto your finger, rub it between your hands til it seems dissolved and then rub all through your hair- I try to keep it mostly on the bottom half of my hair & don't rub my hands on the top part of my hair til it's nearly off my hands completely. The trick I learned early on is to make sure not much goes near your roots or your hair will look greasy. I have fine hair & it tames my flyaways, brings a little shine in & gives me that next day hair that people talk about but usually isn't such an attractive thing in reality! This product- because you use it so sparingly lasts me at least 6 months every time which means the price isn't really so bad afterall!! — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Good
Allaboutskin (83 reviews)this is good if you only treat it like a paste and use it once in a while but no way does it live up to its super wonder women claims. — 2 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Greasy
productlady58 (5 reviews)Not sure what the good reviews are all about. Made me look greasy and my hair feel heavy. Perhaps would work better for someone with super short hair? Def. not for my long, thick hair. — 2 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Dirt Works!
MrsRizzo (4 reviews)I happen to love this product! Only a pea size is necessary for my long hair. It adds great definition to layered hair and gives you that salon look. And it smells great! — 3 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Does the Trick
susaneh62 (69 reviews)This product, when used properly, will give you manageable hair. My hair is medium length, I apply it where my hair is dry and make sure I don't get it on the roots. I work it through the strands and blow-dry. My style lasts for two days and is really bouncy. — 3 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Excellent
Timberlynn (23 reviews)I have fine hair and I absolutely love it. I use a small amount in my hair after I towel dry it. Then I preceed to dry my hair then use my flat iron and the results are fabulous! — 3 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I Like This!
VanessaSue (29 reviews)I have long (mid back), fine and color treated hair and this stuff works great for me...especially when my hair is too soft from heavy conditioning treatments. It adds body, a bit of shine and great texture. It does build up easily but I use a clarifying shampoo. I also dislike the texture of the product - it feels a but gummy until it warms up. I do like it! — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love This Product
JJis42 (101 reviews)A friend of mine loaned this to me while we were travelling in Europe. Neither of our converters would power my flat iron and so I tried a little of this to smooth my hair. I have very thick kind of wavy oily long hair and just a little of this let me go without a flat iron....I could not believe it. When my friend told me it was the travel size from Sephora I was truly shocked A travel size of this would last me a year and it took almost nothing to get great results. I have this on my list for my next trip to Sephora and have recommended it to my friends with little girls who want straight hair but are not patient enough to sit through the flat iron process....way to go Jonathan! — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
