Clinique Brush-On Cream Liner Reviews

Okay, not great
I have this and I compared it to Mac's fluidline which is another popular cream liner. This is much blacker than Fluidline and that's a HUGE plus for me. However, this tends to flake off very easily, even if you don't rub your eyes a lot. So that's a huge point deduction for me. Fluidline is definitely better at longwear. Both are waterproof and smudgeproof. Another decent thing is that the brush that comes along with this is actually really great. Don't underestimate the power of that brush. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

CLINIQUE BRUSH-ON CREAM LINER
This is a very good eyeliner. The brown is very dark but it's obviously not black. Will not budge once on so be careful when applying. I use this on my upper lid and still use yohl on the lower as I find this is too harsh under the eyes. Depends what look your after I suppose. Wouldn't recommend for water line though, would leave that to the pencils. I love, love this eyeliner! I had taken a break from cream eyeliners to save time in getting ready as I have little ones who don't give me much time! A few days ago I decided to give them a try again, so I opened my MAC fluidline & was shocked to find it all dried up and have had it about 6 months. Then I opened this Clinique one & it was smooth and creamy as the day I bought it! Big plus! The color is a nice dark brown that lasts all day on my upper lash line, not as long lasting on my waterline which is the only downside. The brush, like some others have mentioned is not that great, I use an angled brush and it works great. The consistency is smooth & creamy, gives you enough time to smudge it if you like before it sets, I sometimes have used it as a base & it goes really nicely with my dark brown eyes and dark hair. There are no sparkles or glitter either, it is just a basic dark brown everyday eyeliner. I def. recommend and will repurchase when it runs out. Yes. A lot easier than liquid for sure! Don't be scared ladies. Only took 2-3 times of use to feel completely comfortable with it. Experiment and you'll be rewarded. Very easy and versatile-I do cat eyes, thick 60s style and thin natural line depending on what I'm wearing and how I'm feeling that day and it's never disappointed me. Some people say that after awhile it dries up and that did happen after about 6 months of use, BUT if you put a drop or two of glycerine in the pot, stir with a toothpick and let it mix overnight (not sure if that's necessary but I thought it would help) the eyeliner is as creamy as you first bought it. Sure it might look a little funky, not as pretty and pressed, but it definitely works. Hands down the single best eyeliner I've ever used!!! Eyeliners have never lasted on me, even long-wearing and waterproof formulas. This stuff stays put from when I put it on until I wash it off. Once it's applied I never have to think about it! The deep brown color is perfect. Not too red, not too grey. It's dark but not so dark I may as well be wearing black. Perfect! — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

I have it in Bronze.
The color is very pretty, a warm brown with golden shimmer. The packaging is decent, but nothing special. The brush is just alright. I don't really care for it because the liner tends to flake off throughout the day, and the little bits can get in your eyes. That was the dealbreaker for me. There are plenty of better liners for about the same price, so I own't be repurchasing. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Super creamy gel eyeliner
This is my absolute favorite gel eyeliner. I have tried the gel liners from MAC, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox and Ingot and this is by far the best. All of the above liners (with the exception of Inglot) work great and are long wearing, but they dry out before I am even close to finishing the product. I have had my Clinique gel eyeliner for six months and it is still just as creamy and rich as when I purchased it. If you have any trouble with gel liners dragging when you apply them, give Clinique a shot. This is so creamy that it just glides perfectly along your lash line. I noticed the difference in application from the others right away when I used it for the first time. Once the liner sets, it stays put too. The black color (called true black) is super black and not shiny like many liquid liners can be. Since I liked the black so much, I also purchased the color "black honey" which is a dark copper brown color with just a hint of shimmer in it. Black Honey is a unique and pretty brown liner color that I have not seen in other makeup lines. I purchased this for my Mom after she complained that her MAC gel liner dried up and she also loves it. At $15, this eyeliner is also a better value than the other brands. When you consider that you will be able to actually use more of the product than the other brands, it is even more cost effective. Now that I have found this, I won't use any other gel eyeliner. — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Never Fails
I have this is True Black and Deep Brown. Both colors are wonderful. Very pigmented, apply smoothly, and the second it has dried (which is fairly quickly) it will not budge. I have a fine Sephora eyeliner brush I use instead of the little brush that comes with it. I've had these for a few months now and have had no problems with them drying out. Really, I can't think of anything I don't like about this liner! — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Stays put-even on the waterline
This liner is better than any pencil Ive tried specifically for the waterline. It can fade a little at the corners sometimes though, if my eyes water more than usual. But still the best I have used so far. The brush is really small, and the liner dries quickly, so you have to be precise and work fast. Clinique may be a department store brand, but it's one of the least expensive. So if you don't want to spend the extra $ on cream liner from Bobbi Brown or any other high-end brand, this is an excellent alternative. — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

WOW!!!
This is the best eyeliner I have used in a long time - goes on creamy but sets up well. Takes a little practice to get it how you want it, but performs great! — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Creamy, easy to apply
This is the smoothest gel liner that I've found to date. It has a very creamy consistency and delivers a bold line of color that can be smudged before it dries to give a smokier look. It stays put and lasts all day. I prefer using a different brush than the one that comes with the package, but the product itself is highly recommended. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

It has good staying power...
This is the best eye liner as far as staying power goes. Even if I fall asleep with it on (bad I know), it still looks the same when I wake up. It never smudges. On the downside, it is very hard to take it off completely with eye make up remover, so it works a bit TOO well. The little brush it comes with is not too great. It's way too thick to make a thin line. I would highly recommend using your own fine pointed eye liner brush for this. The color is also very opaque. I've tried this is several color variations. So this is more for a dramatic look than a subtle, day time look. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
