Worst mascara ever

Okay? Okay.
A while ago, I decided I was sick and tired of hearing about this 'Holy Grail of Mascara!' from friends, and decided to try it out for myself. Not expecting great results it's fair to say my friends had a point. The applicator is a bit small (non-curved applicator) so there was a lot of excess when I took the applicator out of the bottle, but that was an easy fix. It was only when I got to applyin...read moreg it that I found the real problem. The formula is very runny, and it makes quite a mess when you put it on. It can be quite clumpy near the ends of your lashes, which can actually impact your day-to-day life. I found this quite annoying but soon found that if you wipe off quite a lot of the mascara onto the bottle, before gently flicking the brush along the length of each lash in a few swift strokes, it can leave quite an impressive result. Royal Blue is their best
I only wear blue mascara. It really brings out my eyes, i have worn since HS and am now 34. I have tried every big name mascara in every kind of blue and some greens. Some I have found, like Urban Decay and Mirabella are really nice, but at 4-6x the cost of the Maybelline, I cannot justify switching. I recently heard that the Maybelline Royal Blue great lash has been discontinued. I am sad and am that they bring it back. My go Too!

Stands the Test of Time
This has been my favorite mascara for over ten years, and there's certainly many reasons why. It doesn't clump, it's affordable, the color is perfect, the brush shape is amazing, and everyone knows it! The Perfect Beginner's Mascara
This was the first mascara I ever used when I first started trying on makeup. It was great because it gave me a natural look without clumping up. Affordable, great for adding length
I was really excited to purchase this product after reading so many reviews on how great this product is. The price is definitely great, varying from $4-7, depending on where you purchase. The wand in this mascara sort-of swirls around in a uniform line, not like a bunch of bristles sticking out randomly. The pigmentation is really good, the black is quite dark so I imagine that the blackest black...read more color is going to be very dark. The formula did not clump on me. I could easily do a couple coats of mascara. The formula is very lengthening, which for many people is a good thing. I myself have long but thin lashes, so this made them seem a bit spidery. I was hoping for more volume, which I really did not get from this mascara. That for me was the biggest downfall, since they promised a thickening result.
