Classic!
Its classic, it was the first mascara I ever used. My grandmother swears by it, as does my mother (whenever she does dress up). But to be honest its nothing extravagant. Its classic and it works. Granted clumps a bit, doesnt extend much. It works, its cheap, and as I have said ITS CLASSIC. For the price it wont fail you! I always keep one of these in the purse even if I have a more, I will say, up...read moredated mascara. But whenever I am stuck in the make up isles unsure which eyeliner to give a try, I just stick to what I know. worst mascara ever
I don't know if my lashes (super straight, short, Asian) just aren't right for the mascara or what. I had super high hopes for this because it's always listed as great on all the top beauty products lists but it smudges and doesn't do ANYTHING for my eyelashes. don't buy
I fully admit i expect a lot of my beauty products, they need to last 7 hours and never smudge. I am a student at a school with very little air conditioning despite the fact that it hitting 90 degrees by lunch isn't rare, here. My makeup needs to hold up. See were not really aloud to wear makeup but we all do, but if i have clumps of mascara running down my face. then well, i have detention. This ...read morehonestly my cousin made me buy she said "its cheap, and it never smudges." Now that i think about it she can wear makeup at her school and her makeup only has to last 3 hours, plus where she lives its a lot colder. Lets just say I wore it on a road trip that took roughly 7 hours. As a test. I always test my mascaras like that, that way if they run nobody really important see's. So within an hour it was running down my face, and don't say I fell asleep or something like that. I never sleep on road trips. best mascara, ever?
i have heard and read so many articles saying that this mascara is the holy grail! i'm sorry if i don't agree. while it does color the lashes well, that's pretty much it. it doesn't lengthen, thicken or even improve the condition of your lashes. i've used it with an eyelash curler and dusted my lashes with translucent powder and nothing seems to enhance it. i would recommend this for color, only, because that's all i got!This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Waterproof? NOT!

i recently bought this waterproof mascara in brown/black shade. It cost me £4.49. I wanted to try this mascara after reading quite a few good reviews in various magazines. Apparently it is very popular with super models etc. I think the packaging is quite simple, but effective. The main body of it is a nice girly pink colour and the wand part is a very plain black. Very simple, but I think it l...read moreooks good. There isn't much information on the package itself. It just tells you what it is - Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara, and that it contains. As for the product itself. The wand is about average sized for a mascara wand, I have seen a few longer ones, but personally i don't like them too long. The brush part of the wand looks pretty average as well but I do notice that everytime I take it out, it's totally clump-free. i don't know how they achieve this, but I think it's great. The colour i bought - brown/black, was very impressive. Most mascaras I've bought this shade look just the same as black to me, but this one is definately more subtle. I found this very easy to apply, but I needed 2 coats, as one coat didn't quite give the effect i wanted. It din't clump or smudge when I applied it and actually looked quite natural. As to how it performed throught the day - to my amazement it didn't flake! I very often find that waterproof mascara goes really hard and you end up wearing loads of little flakes on your cheeks, well not this one, it stayed right where it was supposed to. And the ultimate test - was it really waterproof? I take my toddler swimming 3 afternoons a week. I say swimming, I rarely get wet above the neck as I hate water! but I persevere for his sake. I do sometimes get a bit splashed and wet though, and most waterproof mascaras don't stand up too well to this and I end up with the old 'panda eyes' syndrome. This didn't budge at all...which i tho ught was great... Until bedtime when I tried to take it off! I used my usal tried and very trusted make up remover to no avail whatsoever. I gave my eyes a good scrub with it, until they were quite sore actually and all I got for that was a tiny trace of it on my cotton wool. So, i think basically, this is a great mascara at a very reasonable price. Maybelline Not So Great Lash
This mascara promise to deliver great lash but it didn't. This mascara will look fantastic on you IF..... You have really good eyelash. By you can tell, I don't have really good lash. While other people said that this mascara made them looked like they have only 5 lashes, I didn't experience at all, nor clumping, flaking and smudging.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Not a big fan
This is a very average mascara. If you want a little extra volume, I wouldn't go for this mascara. It would probably be a good one for a girl's first tube of mascara. I also don't like how easily it will run if it gets wet, or the smudges it leaves behind at the end of the day.
