The "Desperate Housewife" posted pix on her Facebook page to discount rumors of botox and plastic surgery

Look! I can contort my face! Would I be able to do this if I had Botox?

In a desperate attempt to prove once and for all that her face is not full of botox and that she hasn't had any plastic surgery, Teri Hatcher posted a slew of self-portraits on her Facebook page. Proving that good old fashioned skin care not botulism and the surgeon's knife keep her looking young would seem to be important to the 45 year-old actress who also wants to set an example for real women who feel shamed into undergoing drastic measures to remain youthful.

Naming her photo album "Oy with Botox," Hatcher wrote that as she was getting out of the bath and prepping for bed, "Thought about all those damn critics of my face. Love it or hate it, my face that is, no surgery, no implants, no matter what "they" say. Decided I'd shoot myself in to reveal some truths about "beauty" and hope it makes you all easier on yourself.

Did I every toy with fillers or Botox over the years? yes. Tell me does this look Botoxed to you? (She scrunches up her face to prove she can move it.)

Yes I am alone in my bathroom naked in a towel on behalf of women everywhere trying to make a point. Women YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL

I can be mad, or confused or sad and tired. Julia Roberts had that same vein in her forehead in Eat Pray Love. Proud of Julia for being a real woman on a real journey.

45 year old me. Just me wanting to teach that all those glam versus trash pictures of celebs are about LIGHTING. It's not makeup it's not suregery [sic] or botox its LIGHT.

Hatcher, who famously played "Sidra" the girl with the fantastic breasts on "The Implant" episode of "Seinfeld," is used to people thinking she's had surgery. But she maintains that she hasn't. In fact, as she described in her autobiography, "Burnt Toast," when she was 41, she learned that a photograph of her was going to be used as an example of women who should go under the knife and she was outraged.

In an email to the offending doctor she wrote, "What kind of message do you think you are sending to women, when you tell them that a celebrity - Teri Hatcher, a woman who has had a second chance, who has a great year, a great job, won awards, made money, and has a beautiful daughter - that even she needs plastic surgery to be 'better'?"

So, what do you think? Believe that the proof is in the pictures or do you think this is just a ploy to get some attention?
