I have always heard to tip your head down to get a slightly higher pony.

I had heard that the cheekbone is the best height for a ponytail as well. You can certainly wear lower ponytails too it's just that when placed at the cheekbone height, it is the most flattering style!

I really like this video ! Ironically I always placed my pony tail in position, where my cheek bone meets. This seemed most flattering, not even realizing what I was doing at the time !

Ok, so what does this mean for if you want to wear a low ponytail? No one's cheekbones curve down to the nape of their neck. Or side ponytail, or low-side ponytail. All in all, this video was a waste of my time.
