How to Get Tousled Wavy Hair for Every Length

For short hair:

Step 1: Using a small round brush, blow dry sections of hair and roll the brush away from your face.
Step 2: With a 3/4-inch curling iron, wrap 1-inch sections of hair from mid-shafts to ends only (leave the roots straight). Curl random sections of hair in different directions to create a more haphazard, rough texture.
Step 3: Gently tousle your hair with your hands to break up the curls.

I tried the mini buns once and they looked great for a couple of hours and then they fell out. I didn't use any product thought, hopefully this time around they will stick around

These are pretty good tips, though I can never use the bristle brush, but I like the idea of no curlers. For my hair though I use 2" curls and spritz and they settle with 15min and I spritz again. I'm gonna try the mini buns and I hope they work. Never though it would work because I'm not a fan of the blow dryer.

all I have to do is use some Paul Mitchell super skinny smoothing serum, and some Paul Mitchell Round Trip, work it into damp hair, flip your head over and shake out the roots to lift them from the scalp and let air dry. This works great for naturally wavy hair or hair with loose curls. the smoothing serum eliminates frizz and the round trip adds body and enhances the waves/curls.

Love this look. Seems fairly simple to do for my long hair. Considering "doing" my hair usually consists of blow drying it straight using my fingers and maybe using a straightener on the ends. I usually let it air dry or throw it up in a pony tail. Will def have try give it a try one of these days?!

I was blessed with truly amazing red gold hair (not strawberry blond, but actual separate red and blond hair mixed together), thick as it can be, and perfectly wavy-curly. I just add a little styling products ever washing and towel-drying, scrunch with my hands, and let it air dry - although this requires a few hours. My twin sister, who's always had fine, thin, straight brown hair has always been sooo jealous! I recommend the TresEmme products highly - you get a lot for the price of emollient, hair-caring ingredients! Dr. JH

This style always works very well for me! My natural hair is wavy, so with some mouse it looks relaxed. When I wear my hair touseled, I always get compliments on how great my hair looks. People ask me if it's my natural hair, and I just explain to them that all I do is just step out of the shower and apply mousse! The only issue for me is that in order to get the look I want, I have to constantly scrunch my hair. It ends up hurting my fingers pretty badly sometimes though. I actually thought I had arthritis for a while, which is crazy because I'm only sixteen. Well, anyways, this hairstyle is absolutely amazing and a great idea for when you're in a rush. I shower everyday, so it kind of became a habit to do this everyday. However, I find that if I've had my hair up all day, all it takes is to throw my hair under the sink faucet and apply some mousse! Don't be afraid to try this style, you will like it! I've had friends with naturally straight hair that try this, and it sometimes works out well, but not always. This style is more recommended for people with naturally wavy hair. I hope your hair works out as great as mine does!
