No. 12: Aveda Witch Hazel Hair Spray, $10
TotalBeauty.com average member rating: 6.9*Why: Readers say they can't stand the smell the most saying: "I didn't care for this hairspray, it was kind of sticky and [didn't give] that great of a hold. It also has a slight fragrance, which I didn't like. Not worth the cost to me." Another agrees saying, "I got this for my husband to try and we both couldn't stand the smell of it -- it's horrible. I had to ask him to wash it out of his hair!" One reader exclaims, "witch hazel smells like warm poop. I guess if you like the smell of warm poop, you would be a happy user of witch hazel. I almost passed out from the smell."
