The look: Chic bunStep 1: Distribute mousse or volumizing spray (try Frederic Fekkai Instant Volume Spray, $19.50, or Victoria's Secret So Sexy Volumizing Mousse, $9.50) through strands and rough dry hair (use a blow-dryer and your hands, not a brush).
Step 2: For straight hair, curl ends with a curling iron for more texture and volume.
Step 3: Pull hair into a high pony and secure with a hair elastic. Wrap hair around pony into a bun shape and pin into place.
Step 4: Use your hands to spread the bun out, giving it more volume and making it a little messy.
Step 5: Pin any loose ends that come out in the Step 4 process around the bun. Spritz with hairspray.
