Hair washing and drying is quite a chore, no? And your life is more or less ruled by when you're going to wash it, right? (Unless, of course, you have a pixie cut.) Regardless, we are all busy ladies and when we wash our hair, we expect our shampoo to clean and protect our hair color … and for the smell to intoxicate all who are lucky enough to walk by us. We're not saying that you must spend a ton of money on hair care products to get the quality you're looking for, but what we are saying is that there is a huge difference in quality -- even among the shampoos in the drugstore aisles. And the shampoos on this list are not of high quality.

Check out the worst drugstore shampoos now.

Here's a taste of our readers' testimonials -- some of their comments will make you LOL but all will encourage you to avoid these hair care products when shopping at the drugstore:

"Left my hair a tangled, almost matted mess"
"Makes my scalp more dry"
"Left my hair feeling very sticky"
"My hair doesn't feel as clean after I rinse"
"It made my hair look and feel like pubic hair"
"Left my hair feeling gross"
"Made my hair look frizzy"
"It looked as though I hadn't even showered!"
"Seemed to dry my hair out even more"
"It left my hair feeling waxy"
"Made my soft, silky hair rough"
"It was pretty difficult to get enough lather to completely get my hair clean"

Did we pique your interest? Are you wondering which shampoos they're talking about? Well, the wait is over.

I love Aveda products, but they are sooo expensive. I've been using the Suave Rosemary and Mint (It said to compare with aveda) and it works amazing on my hair its silky and soft, on top of that it smells amazing :D

I have tried just about every shampoo that is sold in stores and even some at the salons. The absolute best that works for my fine dry hair is WEN. This stuff is AMAZING! You can only get it online currently and it's a little pricey but it's worth every penny! They even have a money back guarantee.

It's interesting how the same brands can make really great products and some really bad ones.
