Festive, Flirty Updo: Keira Knightley in "Love Actually"
Structured curls may be so yesterday, but we can't resist this whimsical updo's classic appeal. We asked Antonio Corral Calero, Artistic Director of Moroccanoil, to help us update this 'do with 2011 flair, and he happily obliged.Calero suggests using a small drop of an oil-infused product, like Moroccanoil Oil Light, $34, on towel-dried hair to boost shine, then blow drying using a diffuser. Once hair is dry, take one- to two-inch sections of hair and curl individually with a 1.5-inch barrel curling iron. Run your fingers through the curls to create more subtle waves and part down the center.
Finish off the look by pulling hair back into a loose bun and letting the ends fall out around your face. Get creative by embellishing with feathers, jewelry, or another accessory, which Calero says "will soften the look so it doesn't look fixed."
