Prep:
Tip 1: Find the right product (like one of these 9 best self-tanning products), then exfoliate, shave and moisturize.
Tip 2: Always apply your sunless tanner in a cool, dry place in front of a full-length mirror.
Tip 3: Place rag towels on the floor to prevent tanning the bottoms of your feet.
Tip 4: Wear latex gloves to avoid tan palms.
Applying spray formulas:
Tip 1: Protect light colored eyebrows and hairlines with moisturizer before spraying and wear a shower cap.
Tip 2: Spray about six inches away from the surface of your skin.
Tip 3: To get your back, spray the air directly behind you in a circular motion and quickly walk backwards into the mist (sounds goofy, but it works).
