Breathe

The first thing you want to do when you wake up in the morning is take a few quality breaths, says Fowler. Taking a minute to focus on your breathing will wake up your mind and get your blood flowing. See her tips below:

• Sit on the floor in a comfortable crossed leg position.
• Take a deep breath in through your nose -- hold it for a few moments and breathe out through your mouth.
• Repeat three times.

I'm gonn have to try these! Though I sit in child's pose at night time because I have chronic back pain that I can't shake. It stretches out my back and butt.

Stretching makes me feel so much better. I took a class at the local community college and it left me feeling so relaxed and calm afterwards.
