Want to learn how to apply false eyelashes? First, cut the lash strip to the right length, 1/16 of an inch shorter than the width of your natural lashes. Use black or brown liquid liner to color in the strip that connects the lashes and let it dry. This little step helps camouflage the fake lash strip once you're wearing it.

Now apply the glue to the lash strip and wait one minute till glue is tacky. Tap with a makeup brush. When it grabs and stretches, you're ready to apply. Doing this step right is the true secret to applying fake lashes.

How to apply false eyelashes makeup tutorials often suggest starting with the inner corner, but we find it easier to match up the center of the lashes to the center of your lid first. This will give you an anchor while you get the inner and outer edges mounted correctly.

Once the strip is in the right place, use this old Hollywood secret to blend them perfectly into your normal lashes: Take the stick of a makeup brush and gently roll the skin on your lid downward gently so it touches down over the top of the fake lashes. This sticks a very small edge of your skin over the base, so the fake lashes look like they're growing from your lids, not sitting on top of them. Now curl the lashes and apply mascara. And that's how to apply false eyelashes

I've found putting the glue on a toothpick to apply glue to lashes gets just the right amount of glue. No globs no mess.

I've never tried fake lashes, but I feel a little more confident using them after this tutorial! Any recommendations for good brands to use?

It takes a little practice to get them straight every time. I personally like to use the lash glue in a dark tone so you don't see the white glue, even though it dries clear eventually.

Can someone please tell me how to see the video for the fake eyelashes?? When I clicked on the channel link I went to a page about eyebrows. I recently bought about 40 beautiful pairs while I was out in LA and I don't have a clue what to do. Written instructions haven't helped me. I'm a "visual" learner and I need this video! Help!
