I have applied false lashes both ways, pre-makeup and post-makeup. I find that it hides the lash line better if you apply it post-makeup, you know in case you don't get the strip exactly along your lash line. I've been wearing lashes for over 10 years (I started young, lol) and it just takes patience. I still "mess up" all the time! If the whole strip scares you, try individual lashes. It's a little more precise and you have more control. Just add a few at the outside corners for a great effect. Have fun trying!

Sorry, if you are reading my comments, read the first one last and the last one first. It'll all make sense in the end. LOL By the way, always, always use a clean toothpick and you might try applying the adhesive to a toothpick if you have problems with "gloppy adhesive" like I do. It goes on a lot smoother. :)

I forgot to add to be very careful when applying the adhesive to your already glued lashes. If you're nervous, just lightly tug on the loose part to seperate it from your lid and then slowly apply the fresh adhesive. Take your time and everything will turn out great! I've used this "tip" for years and have yet to poke myself in the eye. If necessary wait until you are alone in the bathroom or go into a stall so you won't be so nervous, but it'll work great. You might want to practice at home or even better after a workout when you know that the lashes are going to be flapping in the wind! Good luck and just be careful and you'll be that gorgeous you and confident that your lashes are in place.

I find that the best thing to do for instant touch-ups and lets face it, these things don't stay on all day without coming loose somewhere-is to carry your adhesive/glue with you in your make-up bag (the purse kind or hide it in the zipper part of your purse) and take your compact mirror or if you are brave, stand at the sink mirror. Apply a small amount of adhesive to the top 1/3 to 1/2 of a toothpick and swipe gently that adhesive over the loose part of the fake lash. Give it a few seconds to "set-up" and press against where it should go. Take your liquid liner and reaply lightly and you are ready to go! No worries about lashes flying around the dancefloor or worse on your cheeks!

its still kind of hard for me to put them on myself. =P for the last step though, curling and putting on the mascara, some people told me i was supposed to put it on before i put the fake eyelashes on. =/ which is better? i havent tried the method the video showed yet.
