This brightly-colored, tourmaline-charged ceramic iron heats up in what seems like seconds. It takes the guess work out of what temperature is hot and what's too hot with two colored lights -- handy, but comical. The bummer? It's difficult to straighten the roots of your hair (important for curly textures) because the tongs are so thick. To get coarse, nape-of-neck hair smooth, I had to crank the heat up to the max, 400 degrees -- ouch.

    In love with my Bed Head straightener

    Size is convenient. Love the adjustable temperature. The appearance is stylish and fun. Has a light that changes with the heat - this feature is very handy. Leaves my hair soft and silky, and doesn't fry hair like most straighteners. Great price for a great product. May 26, 2008, 8:03 pm

    It works so great. You give your hair a silky, healthy look. It feels so good. I reccomend this straightner for anybody. I have been using it since it has came out. It heats up fast and does the job. It is so worth the prie. June 28, 2008, 10:14 am

    Not for you if you have thick and textured hair

    I have very thick and textured hair. I had a Chi iron that worked perfect until it broke. I won a free Bed Head Light Me Up iron. This product barely straightened my hair and I had it set on the highest tempature. I ended up buying another Chi. I'm glad I won this product and didn't pay for it. It was a bit of disappointm...ent. Even if you don't want a Chi, find a different iron to use unless you have thin and soft hair. July 17, 2009, 8:02 pm

    No thick hair

    I absolutely loved this straightener! It was a little more money than what I am used to spending but it was so worth it. It heated up in seconds, my hair was pin straight in one passing and it seemed like very little damage was done to my hair. Plus the LED lights were pretty cool! The only down side was there was no safety... shut off and I tend to be forgetful, so of course after a couple of times of forgetting to shut it off and going out all night the best straightener I ever had melted to my floor. If it had the safety shut off it would be a 10 and I would have bought it all over again! August 11, 2009, 7:53 am
