    hurts so good

for me, this works just like the commercial. its so nasty. i dont even look dirty and they find junk to rip outta my face, nose, chin, forehead, where-ever! the strips a huge too, they overlap my nose and well onto my cheeks beside my nose, whole forehead or chin. the only thing is it hurts so much to remove it! i cant hel...p but cry a little EVERY TIME! lol! but its worth it. the strip will look like a nasty porcupine when im done, and i think it rips all the hair off my face too, but thats ok i guess! Nothing Like Id Thought

    by mediumred (30 reviews)
After seeing the many commercials for the Biore products I thought it would be great for my skin and using these strips on my nose because I tend to get a lot of buildup there and blackheads, etc. I bought a package, and following the instructions to the "T" I realized they dont warn u about leftover sticky stuff/... residue on ur nose after ur done and thats what really upsets me. I thought they would be a lot different. It really upsets me. I think I paid too much for the few strips especially since I couldnt even use the rest of them. April 20, 2008, 12:12 pm

The most fun you can have cleaning your skin...

I used to try some of the other brands of cleaning strips, but nothing seems to work as well as the biore ones for my skin. Some brands just didn't get any of my blackheads, or only succeeded at pulling fine hairs off my face. These actually manage to grip and pull out all the junk out of my pores. They work fantastic ...on my fiance's skin (yes I got a man to use these things). He has very large pores, and this does a great job of getting everything out. And I have to admit, it is a little gross, but it is fun to look at the strip and see little black "hairs" standing up. January 30, 2008, 12:06 pm

    all surface-no depth

    by shanhox (3 reviews)
Yes, you put it on and take it off and see dried oil. Thing is, the oil resurfaces and dries again. When it hits the air, it creates blackheads. To fully get rid of these blackheads you have to get rid of the entire clog in the pore. These strips don't do that, they just get rid of part of the dried oi...l. Using a good exfoliant would be more effective and save money in the long run. If you are bored and want to see icky little sebum spikes, then this is the product to buy. November 12, 2007, 2:22 pm

    100% gimmick

I used these when they first came out years ago. I wasn't as versed in skin care as I am now. These strips are basically toys. One could extract her own blackheads to better effect without them. Extracting blackheads will not resolve them. They will come back again and again, and that encourages you to "need" more... strips. Furthermore, irritating open pores that are already clogged up with dirt and oil can TRIGGER blemishes where you haven't had them before. Open pore clogged with dirt + trauma could equal collapsed and clogged pore. That clogged pore will continue to produce oil, and with nowhere to go, what do you end up with? A blemish. The stress from pulling and the subsequent rubbing off of the residue left by the strips is horrible for your skin, even if you dont see red or feel pained. So...if this product only temporarily removes some blackheads, can CAUSE acne, and traumatizes your skin, why is this product still on the market? June 11, 2008, 4:57 pm

    I LOVE THESE!

    by DearCrumpet (4 reviews)
I really love these. I use them about once a week and I have no complaints. Of course it does hurt a bit to pull it off but each time I do, all the black heads on my nose have disappeared. I'm not sure why it won't work for some people but it's great for me. One thing though, follow up with a good moisturizer if your sk...in is dry like mone or you'll be left with a flaky nose. No miracle worker

If you apply them correctly and wait for them to really be dry, it will pull lots of junk out of your pores...disgusting yet I always have to look :) I've never really used these on a regular basis - only here and there or semi-regularly for a while, and while they do pull out pore-clogging "stuff" it doesn't see...m to have any long-term benefits. I feel using a good cleanser and exfoliator works better for me. April 27, 2008, 8:46 am

    OMG!

    by Cathy_H (19 reviews)
I tried a sample in the April issue of Real Simple. I use a scrub three times a week, and didn't think that this strip can get anything. Boy was I wrong! When I pulled this off my nose after 15 minutes, I saw a lot of 'spikes' of oil on the strip! This little thing was able to take care of the blackheads that had been... sitting on my nose for as long as I can remember! I did feel a little like a band-aid when taking off the strip, but otherwise, this is quick and simple to use. March 14, 2008, 4:22 am

Works better than anything else I've found

My son and I both get blackheads on our nose, chin, and around our lips. We've tried every exfoliant, cream, toner, masque...you name it, but keep coming back to these strips. We're always shocked and more than a little grossed out at what the strip is able to pull out of our skin, but it's better to have those "littl...e trees" on the strip than under the surface of your skin! I'd also like to mention that these have never bothered my very sensitive skin in any way whatsoever. February 24, 2008, 6:51 pm

    A must have

This stuff does the best job at keeping my pores clear with minimum fuss. However, you have to be realisitic and follow the instructions. I tried using these without cleansing my face beforehand, and it just didn't work. When I followed the instructions, worked way better. It won't get every pore, but gets the vast majority.... With regular use (2x a week), I had better looking skin and less breakouts. January 31, 2008, 6:21 am

  • Manufacturer's Product Description

  • Pull the plug on clogged pores. This weekly pore refining treatment for the nose area instantly removes pore-clogging dirt, oil and blackheads. In just one use, Biore® Deep Cleansing Pore Strips are twice as effective as the leading pore cleanser at getting rid of pore-clogging build-up and blackheads. Helps reduce the appearance of pores with regular use. For best results, do not use more often than once every three days.
  • Directions

  • Remove strip from pouch. Before using nose strips, twist strip to loosen and separate slits featured on nose strips only. After washing your face, thoroughly wet your nose or other face areas (where you have clogged pores or blackheads). The strip won't stick if skin is dry. Dry hands. Peel strip off plastic liner. Apply to skin, smooth side down, pressing down to ensure good contact with skin. Let dry for about 10-15 minutes until stiff to the touch - like papier-mâché. Slowly and carefully peel off starting at edges, pulling toward center.
