Great idea

this is a WONDERFUL mascara, and the 'carbon black' shade they have is SO dark. it does smudge after a long day, esp bc i wear lots of eye makeup that has oil in it, and that drags the mascara down with it, but it gives you great, long, thick DRAMATIC lashes. cheap, and easy to find! — 3 years, 3 months ago

L'Oreal Paris Double Extend Mascara

I really wanted to like this mascara, I have used other lengthening primers, but this one was really goopy and clumpy so the mascara didn't really apply well either. I tried using just the mascara, but it wasn't as good as some other mascara formulations that L'Oreal produces. I found it to be a very short lived mascara as well, it flaked and smeared quite shortly after application. L'Oreal makes some really good products, this isn't one of them. — 2 years, 9 months ago

This really works great! I have not tried the mascara without the primer; but the primer really works to magnify lashes - the more primer you layer the bigger your lashes! I also tried the primer with another mascara and it works great as well. The primer really helps the mascara to glide on your lashes smoothly and minimize clumps. Can be good if used properly

This primer/ mascara duo can work well if you apply it right, meaning applying it quickly. I find that if you don't apply the mascara on top of the primer quickly, the result will be spotty coverage with bits of white sticking through & a rather clumpy look - not pretty. If you apply it quickly, you can easily cover the white & ensure a clump-less look. You also need to make sure that you apply enough of the color over the white to make sure you don't end up looking like you have grey lashes. The results can be quite lovely with thick, long lashes, but I just don't bother. Frankly, L'Oreal has better mascara formulas & I much prefer a clear lash primer to a white one. — 1 year ago

I bought the L'Oreal Paris Double Extend Lash Boosting Mascara.. It came in a blue and gold tube with two ends. I LOVE the primer.. it gets all of my lashes and especially the ones on my outer corner that always have trouble getting coated with mascara. I LOVE this primer and then adding the mascara afterwards. My lashes were originally very straight and short.. I've only been using this for a few weeks but I have found that my lashes are now much longer and curled. I can't wait to use this more because it really works for me! Only problem is that it lengthens and defines a lot for me, but doesn't really volumize.. so afterwards, I just layer another mascara on top to thicken the lashes. — 1 month, 4 weeks ago

Long, long, long!

I'm using Double Extend Lash Boosting Mascara right now. It makes my lashes look a lot longer than they are. Use the white serum first then apply the black right away for clean-looking lashes, or let the white serum it dry and keep reapplying it until you get the desired length before coating with the black. Warning, though, it tends to get a little clumpy if you do more than 2 coats with the white. Overall a great mascara I would purchase again. — 6 months, 1 week ago

I just started using this mascara. I was in my local drugstore and I saw that it was probably the most expensive mascara on the shelf. So I thought to myself "Okay, it must be good then." and I was right! People sometimes complain that it clumps. It DOES, but that's ONLY if you do not apply it right. I think it's lovely, and it makes my eyelashes look way long, but yet natural at the same time. I think the only negatives are the price, and the amount you get. — 11 months, 1 week ago
