Great idea

This is a great idea, but I didn't like the feel of the tubes on my lashes. The product did hold up to its promises, however, so you are getting a good product. It just wasn't for me.

L'Oreal Paris Double Extend Mascara

I really wanted to like this mascara, I have used other lengthening primers, but this one was really goopy and clumpy so the mascara didn't really apply well either. I tried using just the mascara, but it wasn't as good as some other mascara formulations that L'Oreal produces. I found it to be a very short lived mascara as well, it flaked and smeared quite shortly after application. L'Oreal makes some really good products, this isn't one of them.

Can be good if used properly

This primer/ mascara duo can work well if you apply it right, meaning applying it quickly. I find that if you don't apply the mascara on top of the primer quickly, the result will be spotty coverage with bits of white sticking through & a rather clumpy look - not pretty. If you apply it quickly, you can easily cover the white & ensure a clump-less look. You also need to make sure that you apply en...read moreough of the color over the white to make sure you don't end up looking like you have grey lashes. The results can be quite lovely with thick, long lashes, but I just don't bother. Frankly, L'Oreal has better mascara formulas & I much prefer a clear lash primer to a white one.

Highly recommend

This really works great! I have not tried the mascara without the primer; but the primer really works to magnify lashes - the more primer you layer the bigger your lashes! I also tried the primer with another mascara and it works great as well. The primer really helps the mascara to glide on your lashes smoothly and minimize clumps. For around $10, the primer alone is worth the price.

carbon black

this is a WONDERFUL mascara, and the 'carbon black' shade they have is SO dark. it does smudge after a long day, esp bc i wear lots of eye makeup that has oil in it, and that drags the mascara down with it, but it gives you great, long, thick DRAMATIC lashes. cheap, and easy to find!

The Best 2 Step Mascara

I've tried my fair share of 2 step mascara's and this is by far the best. This mascara is easy to customize. You can keep it simple with one layer of each side or you can build layers of lenth and volume. The mascara doesn't clump easily until it gets a few months old, but it does seem to dry out quickly.

double extend

i wanted to give this a try because a friend of mine always wears it and tells me to not wear my usual waterproof one cuz it will "ruin my lashes" and it looks awesome on her. not as good on me though the primer works to get small lashes but as soon as i put on the mascara part it immediately uncurled my lashes and made them stick straight. i tried re curling them after the mascara dried but it made my lashes clump together. The only way I would try this again is if it were waterproof

One of my all time favorites

First mascara I ever used because my mom owned it, and it's still one of the best I've had during many many years. Adds both length and volume, and it stays on great!

Clumps

This made my lashes long and a bit thicker. The problem is that it seemed to make the lashes clump together, so sometimes I would have like 5 really long and think lashes, but not much else. Kinda gross. I would like something that fans my lashes out more and makes them more voulumous. If you are looking only for length though, this is probably a good choice, not the best choice for me since I already have long lashes.
