  i believe that this is the best product out there for reduced swelling and overall healing of acne breakouts. out of all the products that i have tried, this one really delivers. the package claims that in 8 hrs you will have reduced swelling and breakouts will clear faster. i wish id have known before i tried to pop it mys...elf!! application @ night and by morning the swelling had gone down significantly, 24 hrs later all that was left was a scab from where i had tried to bust the thing the night before.... i love this stuff!!   I love this product. I apply it at night and it really helps reduce the redness of my acne as promised and makes it easier cover up. It's been one of the best acne overnight treatments I have ever tried. That being said, I must say I was disappointed with the size of the bottle. It's 0.5 oz for almost 10 dollars. The .05 oz... bottle fits into the palm of your hand so paying almost 10 bucks for it is a little crazy, but on the plus side it easily fit in your purse or travel bag. May 1, 2008, 5:08 pm

  I swear by this product

  This product works!!! I have very oily skin that is extremely prone to cystic acne (especially before that time of the month). I'd typically get one of those breakouts that feels painful and I can always feel it about to pop up days ahead. When I feel one coming up, I immediately start applying the Neutrogena product, 3 ...times a day or more. The only thing is that, this product actually pushes the pus (or whatever is in the pimple) up to the surface faster than normal, which (from my experience) makes it go away faster. So it will most likely get bigger before it disappears. So if you have a big event, I wouldn't recommend using it right before attending. I've been battling cystic acne for years and tried many OTC and Rx products. But I've discovered a 2-step process that seems to work for me a bit: 1-use an effective salicylic acid product (Neutrogena rapid clear is one of 2 that I know works really well) to bring the pimple to the surface; it'll end up looking like a whitehead within a few hours/days. I then compress it with hot water so the pus comes out. From here I stop with the Neutrogena because it WILL sting like he** if I put it on, because the pore is now open. 2-I then use a Benzoyl peroxide cream to 'dry' it up. With the pus gone, so is the pimple bump, which is the most annoying part anyway. February 7, 2008, 1:55 pm

  Great For That-Time of the Month Breakouts

  I have used this product for approximately 1 year. Often the product is not available because it flies off the self. I am in my forties and still get occassional breakouts, however, anyone 13-99 can benefit from it's rapid results. Apply a thin layer at least twice a day and 24 hours the blemish is nearly gone (at least ...can be covered). Try it, you will agree! November 29, 2007, 2:06 pm

  Best spot treatment so far . . .

  At age 32, I find myself with more acne problems that I ever had as a teenager. I have used benz. peroxide, sulfur I'm talking about you, Dr. Murad!), and lower concentrations of salicyclic acid spot treatments. This 2% concentration, which is the highest I've seen OTC has been the best by far. It doesn't work miracles, ...but it has prevented under-the-skin zits that I catch early from becoming the monsters that I know they could be. Usually in 2-3 days of using this, the zit has disappeared. Can't ask for much more than that. Neutrogena products rarely disappoint me and this is no exception. May 16, 2008, 2:57 pm

  great product

  This product was a miracle, my face had been breaking out for about 2 weeks i tried everything, no makeup for days washing with a facial cleanser but my pimples seemed like they weren't going anywear....finally i picked up this product for about $7 at the local pharmacy and i put in on and i swear over night the redness and... bumps seemed to almost go away completely...the product is clear and smooth not sticky like other spot treatments...i love it February 22, 2008, 2:40 pm

  This stuff really works!

  I used to get the usual monthly break outs, but since using this product I haven't had a bad break out in months. As soon as I see the first sign I start applying it daily. It doesn't dry out my skin and it keeps the break outs under control. Love it! December 8, 2007, 5:42 am

  Love it!

  I have extremely oily skin and have tried everything to ease my acne. My prayers for clear skin were answered when I discovered this product. After only a few weeks of use, I saw a huge reduction in my acne and pore size! My only problem with this product is it's small size. I use it daily, so I run out of it pretty fast.   best acne eliminator

  This is the best acne fighter for the money. I used to rely on clinique's spot treatment gel but it was twice the price and the active ingrediant was 1% salicyclic. Neutrogena's version has 2% salicyclic acid in it and since it is also a clear gel I find it too work much better at eliminating my breakouts.   After undergoing a product makeover and new ingredients, I think Neutrogena finally perfected it's gel. I use a very thin layer on a pimple and I never see the little sneaky one sprout to it's full ability. Just be very careful when using other products AND overusing the product because it will cause excessive drying, other... than that, great product. February 17, 2009, 5:21 pm
