Definitely burns!

I couldn't get enough of this lip treatment and even though it was a tiny tube, it lasted me about six months, which I thought was an incredible value. I bought the matte version so I could apply this as a base for my liquid lipsticks. I bought this because it said it was a primer for your lips so I figured it would be great for liquid lipsticks but also to plump my lips. You get .12 ounces for $2...read more4 which is extremely expensive, but I'm telling you it lasts forever. I bought this in Dec 2016 and just ran out last week. You do NOT need a lot or your lips will be hurting. This treatment is potent. My first interaction with this primer was a lesson learned; I applied so much that I could rub my lips together and would have some left over. This is kind of a weird treatment to use correctly the first few times. It has a silicone looking texture but does not feel like that. It's so, feels smooth going on, and dries totally matte just as it says. I'd say it's a hybrid between a silicone and satin formula. It's amazing. Anyways, I applied 5 times too much and my lips were on fire for an hour. I was walking through my house doing breathing exercises to get the burning to calm down. But my lips were huge. Absolutely huge. However, I'm not a doctor, nor do I advise this. The next day I tried again except used a tiny bit and let it do its magic. It was amazing. My lips looked so perfect, and felt amazing. Smooth, pink, and nice and pouty. I Waited until it dried down (about 3-5 minutes) and than applied my liquid lipstick. My liquid lipstick went on easily, stayed all day, and came off easily with my lip remover product. After about a month I noticed my lips felt softer over all, and didn't have nearly as much cracking as they used to. The applicator is pretty cool; the only way I can really describe it is a teardrop shape with a hole in the center. The top has to be turned and the inner applicator pulled off. It's different. I like it. It gives the perfect amount of plump short term which is one of the best benefits and lays my lip product beautifully. It was pricey but it was worth every dime. Actually does exactly what it says. Will be repurchasing.

Doesn't really do what it says

I can't see using this as a lip primer. It's not matte and it tingles too much. Plus, for all that burn, I didn't see much in the way of plumping action.

Not so much Plumping Action :(

I didn’t notice any major difference in my lips after applying this product. They felt smooth and slightly tingly but they were too slick to apply lip color over. This product is better as a standalone than paired with something else.

Works but burns a bit

I tried this out a few times to give it the benefit of the doubt. It visually works right away but it feels like you poured pepper on your lips. A weird feeling not like mint. The 2nd time it was a little less weird. A friend tried it and didn't feel quite as bothered by this as I was. The wand gets the perfect coverage without having to overdue the corner of your lips.
