Nothing Special
I've discovered after buying a few of Benefits "palettes" that they are simply samples wrapped up all cute and pretty in a cute box. They are always $36.00. They are an opportunity for you to try out their products without the commitment to the full size. This particular sample box contains Porefessional, which is a really good cream-like gel that actually does diminish the size and appearance of pores; Hello Flawless Oxygen liquid makeup in a medium shade, which I found is better than the light color and I have pale skin, however, this foundation has no coverage for older skin; 2 shades of Bo-ing, a concealer which is not very good because it provides a very light coverage; and a finishing powder with a silly, small brush you'd never use. Of these products, for me, the only useable ones are Porefessional and the finishing powder. All in all, not worth $36! Returned it. — 5 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Awesome kit!
I, for one, really love this kit! It's a great way to try minis of their products. It comes with porefessional, an awesome primer, a light (not fair!) shade of hello flawless oxygen wow! foundation, finishing powder and 2 shades (a light and a medium) of boing! concealer. Okay, so the primer I love and just made a separate review on. The foundation is great, but just a little too dark/orange for me because I'm pretty fair-skinned, even for the "light" version of this box. (The shade was "plush precious petal" or something like that). The boing lighter shade works beautifully, but the dark shade I don't think I can use, being so fair. Lastly, the finishing powder is really great for me and my relatively oily skin, keeping my makeup set and my complexion matte for most of the day. (I have a problem with touching my face though, so I am not sure how it would hold up for someone without that problem, probably all day.) The powder is not translucent, I should add, it is a light color, so take that into account when applying blush seeing as how it will dull the color if you apply it after. Lastly, I want to mention that the sample sizes are sized like deluxe samples, not minis. By that I mean they are smaller than you might expect. Still, they'll last a good amount of time, maybe a couple months if you use it daily. But I would compare the porefessional to small thumb-sized and the foundation is slightly larger, but still has the pump dispenser and everything. Also, everything comes out except the finishing powder which is embedded in the box, so I just store all the items in the box it came in (it's cute, though!). So the powder is not very portable. Hope this helps! — 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
