Doesn't tone, but a good body wash.
This won't tone/firm you up at all, since it doesn't have any ingredients that would actually do that, as leo1999 pointed out. It's just a good body wash. It doesn't moisturize especially well, but I don't find it drying either. It just gets you clean. If you love Dove body wash already, you'll love this too. It smells similar to other Dove products (clean soapy smell), and creates the same fabulous soapy lather. I also used it to shave, and found it to be decent for that purpose. And the price is right. It's nothing fancy, just plain and simply a good body wash. it's ok, average, eh
i did not notice an overall difference in my skin tone. but i will say that it lathers up really well. this body wash did not make my skin feel sticky or squeaky after the shower, leaving soap residue on my skin. unfortunately, the moisturizing effects of the body wash only lasted in the shower. if anything, i thought my skin was drier than usual hours after using this wash. i don't think i would ever buy this. it wasn't good for shaving either. i usually use my body washes for shaving, but when i used this one, i didn't get a close shave like usual (and it was a brand new razor!). i used it for a little bit over a week, and my final verdict is that it is an average body wash that can make you feel semi-clean and moisturized. — 11 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love as moisturizing body wash, but I can't verify toning effect
The scent: Lovely. It reminds me of Dove Cool Moisture Cucumber & Green Tea Body Wash very much. Thus, this is great for those (including me!) who love their Cool Moisture Cucumber & Green Tea line. The texture/formula: Rich and creamy. A small amount lathers very well, and it is enough to wash my entire body. It cleanses mildly and rises off easily. Also, it does not leave a sticky residue on my skin (FYI, I have dry skin). The effects: Since it does not dry- out my skin, I feel my skin hydrated and slightly softer. I have been using this body wash for 10 days now. Very Moisturizing
Skimming the reviews, I realize that the name of this product is somewhat deceptive. TONING implies certain firming abilities, but that would mean that there was either caffeine or seaweed in the ingredients and since that is not the case, we should not feel that this cream body wash has any other requirements than to clean and moisturize. The product may not have toned my body that I could notice, but this body wash not only cleanses and it is also a perfect cream for shaving your legs. The fragrance is fresh and clean, not feminine, so the men in the household will love it too. I happen to have purchased the Ultra Rich Velvet version from Dove at the same time and prefer that scent, but because of Dove's NutriumMoisture in both, the skin is left soft and smooth at the end of your shower. . Incredible
I have been using the product for about a week now and I've almost immediately noticed a difference in the way my skin feels. I have extrememly dry skin on my legs an forearms so I have to put on either baby oil or lotion immediately after a shower, but since I've started using this body wash my skin doesn't dry out. Its softer, smoother, and smells really good. I dont' have to apply lotion for hours after using it. moisturizing, yes; toning...not so much
i had initially purchased a trial bottle of this body wash at the local drugstore before i received a sample from total beauty to review. this product is described as “designed to help promote skin’s elasticity and strength” and promises that users will “see visibly more beautiful in just 1 week, and with continued use, see even better results in 3 weeks”. so, it’s been over 3 weeks since i’ve used the product…and i don’t know that my skin appears any more “toned” than before . even if it did, i don’t know that i could attribute it to this body wash and not the yoga classes i’ve been taking =) that false advertisement aside, i have noticed that my skin feels silkier and smoother – even when i forget to apply lotion; i’ve even begun to skip applying lotion altogether! the body wash itself is rich and creamy, and when used with a shower puff, just a small amount creates a nice lather that’s easy to rinse off. i like the light scent that doesn’t overpower or compete with the scented lotion and perfume that i use. i find this body wash comparable to the oil of olay soothing cucumber moisturizing body wash, but i like dove’s version better; oil of olay doesn’t seem to rinse as well in the shower, leaving a slightly oily residue, and it doesn’t soften my skin as well as dove does. so i’ll knock a few stars off for not toning as promised, but i would definitely purchase this product again. — 11 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Caused Itching
As with any product that contains sodium laureth sulfate, sodium lauryl sulfate or any sulfate, I am unable to use it due to the itching it causes. I did, however, give this body wash a try while hoping it would yield less itchy results. A few hours after the first use I began to feel itchy on my legs and after the second day of use I noticed a fine rash along with the itchiness. I discontinued use of this product and in a couple days my skin was fine again. Note: I do not have sensitive skin but I am unable to use any products with sulfates. As for toning benefits, this can only come from exercising/active lifestyle. On the plus side, the cleanser does have a nice smell and a creamy consistency. Great Body Wash
This is a really nice, highly moisturizing body wash. It lathers like crazy (a little goes a long way), and I felt like it definitely left my skin feeling softer than usual after a week of use. As far as toning effects, I can't say for certain that there have been any, but it's a possibility - no miracles, but maybe a slight difference. It has a clean scent that's neither overwhelmingly feminine nor masculine, and not at all too "perfumey".
