Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray Reviews

So-So
This product does extend my hair a few hours but it doesn't leave it looking freshly washed. It leaves it a bit stiff and is hard to comb through. It works fine for if I want to put my hair in a ponytail, but it certainly doesn't work as promised. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Love it! Better than expensive brands!
This dry shampoo is fantastic! I picked it up one day when I knew I wouldn't be able to do my regular hair-washing and styling, and was extremely skeptical because last time I used dry shampoo (a much more expensive one) it didn't do much for me, and smelled bad as well. This Suave Professional Dry shampoo turned out to be a great surprise. It actually works! I have long, dark hair, and it is prone to getting oily fast, and does lose volume by the end of the day, not even mentioning the next day. With this dry shampoo all those problems go away. I used it as directed- shook the can, sprayed mostly on the roots, massaged hair and scalp lightly, ran a brush through my hair. The result was amazing! Hair looked clean and fresh instantly, and the added volume was as if I just had a good blowout! There also wasn't any white residue on my hair. The smell is a bit strong, but it is rather nice, and it fades away too. This dry shampoo is much nicer than Suave's keratin dry shampoo. When I know I'll have a super-busy, crazy day I actually spray some of this shampoo on the roots when finishing styling to help keep my hair looking fresh and keeping lots of body throughout the day. The can packaging is nice- I like the simple clean design and cheerful yellow, the cap stays on well, the spraying part works great. You get a good amount of product, will last you for a long time. And you really can't beat the price, at a little over 3$ this product is a lifesaver for busy ladies or various emergencies when you just don't get a chance to wash and re-style your hair. I highly recommend this dry shampoo, especially for those who need more volume. And I will keep buying this amazing product myself. — 3 months, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

My "go-to" product!
I love this dry shampoo for so many reasons! I have been using it for about a year. I have tried the Oscar Blandi version for Brunettes, Tigi Rockaholic and also TreSemme. My hair is brown, long and a but coarse underneath. It's also very thick. This is by far my favorite dry shampoo. I read about it in an article and it was rated #1 - I can see why. I feel bad that the reviews for curly hair were so bad for this product. I think it is a bit unfair because I would not have chosen to use a dry shampoo for curly hair, which tends to be a little dry to begin with. Perhaps the TreSemme waterless foaming shampoo would be best for that hair type. My roots tend to be oily and this product lets me skip a day - sometimes two! Here are a few tips: 1. Spray only in the areas where needed. It's always easier to add more than to take away! 2. Too much of any dry shampoo will leave hair feeling dirty, greasier or just weird. 3. Instead of combing it in, try using your fingers to "shake" and fluff it in - it leaves hair tousled and full of volume. Definitely give it a try! — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 6 people said helpful

Ok, but wouldn't buy again
I wanted to like this because it was a lot less expensive than others I've tried, but it just wasn't as effective. It didn't make my hair look as clean as a lot of the other brands I've tried (it still left it a little oily), and it didn't have as much of a volumizing effect. I have long, straight, fine hair, so it looks greasy pretty easily--this just didn't get the job done. I also didn't care for the scent. I would rather pay more and get a more effective product. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

leaves Powdery Matte finish
My daughter has brown hair and she tried this compared to higher end brand and this one left matte/tacky feel and powdery finsh to her hair, she had to rinse it out. Still searching for lower priced product that works to save $$$ — 3 weeks, 3 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love/Hate
At first I was not a fan of this product. Now it a definite go too in between washes(every 2-3 days). It does come out white but a little brushing and rubbing into roots will fix that. The smell is not horrible, it does deliver some volume, and absorbs oil aka it does it job. A downside is if you use for 3 or more day it does tend too build up and make my hair scalp itchy, but this is not a problem since I don't exceed 3 without washing my hair. I also use the for nursing school on patients to refresh their hair while in hospital. Good product for price point
Now I didn't say great product however there are several other dry shampoos that fall even shorter than this product. I have been in search for the best dry shampoo at the best value for the past several years. I'm a working mom who needs shortcuts wherever I can get them. Dry shampoo is essential to me. Product works well for the price you pay. I have dark brown hair and it does not appear ashy. My biggest issue is the fragrance. Perhaps the formulators could dial it down a notch or two. It's a bit overboard for me & clashes with any lotion or perfume I wear. Overall I would recommend to try since this item won't break the bank & all hair types react differently. — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

spectacular
I first tried this last year and was highly impressed. I have long brown hair with an ever changing bright color on the bottom. This works great to keep my roots fresh and not looking greasy or oily. I have found that the best way to distribute the product through my hair is by running clean hands through the areas I have sprayed and then following up with a good brushing. I think the heat helps to work the product in and remove the white color better then just brushing. Overall this product is a great time saver on late days and helps in between washing. The only reason I have given this product 9 stars is due to the initial extreme smell. — 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

You Get What you Pay For.....
This has got to be one of the worst dry shampoos I've ever used. While it does help with grease build up, that's ab all it does. Spray it in your hair and it looks like white spray paint, and although it doesn't smell bad, it's straight up made of alcohol...with the first ingredient being alcohol denat., making my hair coarse and sticky much like using hair spray. Looking for a cheap alternative I thought this would do the trick, ecspecially since I feel like I go through a good can of dry shampoo in like a week, boy was I wrong...you get a lot, but its mostly alcohol...yuck!!! I'll stick with baby powder!!! — 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great price for great product!
I have never tried a dry shampoo before, but when my hair stylistist suggested that I wash my hair every other day to keep my hair color longer, I thought I would give it a try! I did some research and found that dry shampoo's can be a little too expensive for my budget but then I found this Suave product. After using it my hair looks less greasy and it smells good too! Kinda like grapefruit, which can be a little overpowering but I would rather smell fresh than dirty. This is on my must have's now. — 3 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
