I am a huge fan of argan oil. I have been using it for years and have tried about 4 different brands now. I use it religiously, every time I wash, blow dry and flat iron my hair, which is extremely thick and quite coarse. My hair is prone to dryness, so I am always using oils to help seal in moisture after I apply leave in conditioners. I received a sample of Redken's take on Argan oil, and was very excited. I liked that the product was clear in color, and the texture of the oil was very silky, and absorbed into my hair quickly. the fragrance was very light, but pleasant. It definitely made the task of detangling easier. After I blow dried my hair, it did seem to retain a bit more moisture than usual. I applied a very small amount again to protect my hair from the flat iron heat, and was pleased to find that it did not weigh my hair down, and smoothed it nicely. I did not notice that my hair had any more shine than usual, but overall I am happy with the results. However, while I enjoyed using this sample, I do not think that I would purchase the product in a store. I know that Redken products tend to be much higher priced, and I did not notice a significant enough effect on my hair to justify spending much more than I normally do for similar products. However, if you are especially a fan of Redken products or don't care about things like high prices, then I would certainly recommend this product. It was great for sealing in moisture and making detangling, blow drying and flat iron easier. Hair seems softer, too. Really made my hair feel super soft
I like how this product felt. My hair is super dry and tends to get frizzy this time of year, but I felt like this treatment did a great job of moisturizing my hair, as well as making it appear shinier and healthier. I would highly recommend this product to others and plan on purchasing it again in the future. Not Impressed Especially for $$
I received a sample of this oil and I have to admit to be very unimpressed. My hair is fine in texture but its curly and I have a lot of it. It ends to be dry and frizzy on the ends. I used this oil several times and am still wiaitng to be impressed. In all honesty, I really didn't see good results. I have gotten much better results from a $5.00 split end treatment you can get in the drug store. And the price of this product is outrageous! Amazingly effective on frizzy hair!
I received a sample of this product and was truly amazed to see how effective it was. I've used the pricey MorrocanOil hair products and didn't think there was much that could top them, but this one did! This oil is much less viscous than MoroccanOil hair oil and didn't leave my hair feeling greasy or heavy. I applied it both to my towel-dried hair and also just a tiny bit after I blow dried it and I was amazed at how soft and smooth it was without being weighed down. Great smelling oil/serum
I have used a few other argan oil based products now and this one was definitely one of the better ones, but I would say it is slightly heavier than I'd prefer. I just used a dime sized amount to calm my fly aways after my blow out. Redken All Soft Argan-6 Oil
I received a sample of this product from Total Beauty. I have rather long, fine, curly hair with a lot of flyaways. I used this product on wet hair and let it air-dry (I never use a blow dryer). It tamed the flyaways, made my hair nice and shiny and soft. It smells wonderful, though not overpowering. softer hair
I have been using morrocan or other oils and serum in my hair for a while. My hair is thick and it helps make my hair more manageable and softer. This Redken Argan oil worked great. My hair felt smoother and softer. Did not weigh my hair down or make it look greasy. You don't need to use a lot to get results. Not For Me
I didn't love this product. I have fine, relatively long, very dry hair. I'm familiar with using oil on my hair, as I normally apply olive oil to the ends after blow-drying, before heat-styling. So, I substituted the olive oil for this a few times. I'm just not impressed. It smells nice and didn't leave my hair greasy or weighed-down, but after a few hours, my hair looked dry again. The shine and softness it gave me on the initial application had disappeared.
